Sister Parish News - We send a
special thank you to Dr. DeLuke and
Dr. Loffredo who organize this outreach
to our sister parish every year.
Members of the dental mission group
will be blessed at the January 18th,
10:00am Mass. The group leaves later this month to travel
to our sister parish in San Augustin, Mexico. Please join us
in wishing them safe travels and keep them in your
prayers. They will be taking warm wishes from our parish,
as well as, the many toothbrushes and friendship bracelets
donated by all of you. They also may be taking along a
future dentist. In the seven years of the yearly mission trip,
Dr. DeLuke reports that 6 delegates have entered or been
accepted into dental school.
Come and have a Prayerful Pause with us! We meet
monthly, but each time is separate and unique, always
exploring where God is in our lives. We will next meet on
Tuesday, January 27th, at 7:00pm in the Union Street
Parish Center - Lower Level. To RSVP or to have
questions answered, contact Kris Rooney.
• To prepare for our time together, consider how you
would describe prayer.
• How do you think you arrived at that definition?
• What brings you to prayer?
•
What spiritual or spirit-nurturing habits or practices do
you have today that may have been formed many years
ago, maybe in childhood?
• What habits or practices were important at one time but
which are no longer a part of your life?
We celebrated the Rite of Welcoming
at the 4:30pm Mass last week for
our RCIA members.

and be confirmed at the Easter Vigil this year.
Keith Kitzman, Wendy Madelone, Michael Mueller and
Darold Myers are already baptized,
but will be fully initiated in the sacraments
of The Catholic Church at Easter as well.
Please welcome them and pray for them
as they continue their faith journeys.

A Family Perspective
by Bud Ozar
Jesus’ question in today’s gospel is still valid today: “What
are you looking for?” What do you want from your spouse,
children or parents? Families are populated with imperfect
people. To expect perfection is unreal. To expect and
accept imperfection is wisdom.
