WHY CHOOSE THIS COURSE? 8 PROPERTY INDUSTRY INDUCTION (1 Day) Property Industry Induction is a great introduction to Australia’s $670 billion property industry. For those who have recently commenced working (or would like to work) in the sector, this course is a good starting point for learning about the careers and opportunities available within the property industry. VALUATION FOR NON-VALUERS (1/2 Day) A half-day course run in partnership with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). This course is a unique opportunity to enhance your knowledge of the valuation process. It’s also a pre-requisite for participants who wish to complete the Property Asset Management Industry Diploma course (page 44). LEASING FUNDAMENTALS (2 Days) Leasing Fundamentals is designed for those with a desire to learn about the importance of the lease and basic leasing principles from a legal and practical point of view. CASE STUDY – Lisa’s journey How Lisa achieved her Retail Property Industry Diploma Lisa started her career in 2010 as an Executive Assistant and being new to the industry, she took the Foundation Course Property Industry Induction (1 day) to kick start her property career and provide an overall perspective of the industry. Following a move into an administration role within the retail team and to get up to speed quickly, Lisa took the Introduction course in Retail Property (1 day). Lisa followed on from this a year later by taking the Retail Property Advanced and Industry Diploma courses (6 days in total). There are two broad categories of CPD: For the Professions (accounting, law, company directors, engineers, valuers, architects and others) who need to complete structured (formal training) and unstructured (reading a relevant magazine, participating in a committee, presenting or mentoring) professional development.
