Why do we not supply all items needed in our kit?:
We wanted to make sure that our kits were affordable for all so we
have created a list of items that can be purchased at any local
Hardware store.
This saves on shipping and allows our customers to use any items
that they may already have around the house or yard. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.
There are many ways to build a Hoop House or Poly tunnel and the
Hoops themselves are the most important item.
The plans that are included is just one of many ways in which to
build your Poly Tunnel.
And if you are part of our Newsletter we will send you updates and
other information that we feel you may find interesting.

Kit Contents:
Items that are included in your 10’ x 10’ Hoop House kit:
a. 3 x 10’ high hoops (for 10’w x 10’h) – made of
galvanized steel – will not rust
b. 10 x Brace bands - (brace band size isn’t readily
available at your local hardware store, so we
include that; however there are a list of items that
you can pick up at your local Home Depot.
c. 2 x brace bands for the top purlin.
d. 1 x CD - Picture illustrated How to instructions –
showing step by step in building your own
greenhouse

e. UV Protected Poly is another option that we
offer and recommend – but is not included
with the kit.
Extra Options that we offer:
As mentioned there are many ways to build a Hoop House,
the most important thing are the hoops themselves.
However, we offer the following options for your
convenience.

1) UV Protected Poly Covering (Will not break down in the
sun).
2) Extra Hoops (each additional hoop will add 5 ‘ in length
to your Poly Tunnel)
3) Side Rail (This is great if planning on adding a roll up
side)
4) Poly Clip or Wiggle Wire (Used to attach poly to the
Frame)
5) Anchor Poles (this is more of an option of convenience,
as 1 5/8” tubing can be purchased from your local
hardware store. We offer a pre-cut option).

6) Brace Bands (10 are included in our kit 10’x10’ kit – extras
are great for added support or if you would like the
option of creating space for hanging baskets etc…)
7) UV Protected Patch tape.
8) Roll up crank handle or arm. (easily adjust the roll up
side with a built in stop).
Materials needed from your Local Hardware store:
a. Screen door – an easy alternative to making your
own (or build one using 2x4 lumber and poly
plastic – or…. Use your imagination).
b. 2x4’s or 2x6’s - wood for base (amount depends on
the size you are building)
c. 1’ 5/8” Galvanize pipe - 6 x 30” Long Steaks used to
support the Hoops in the ground. (These are also
available through us – pre cut and ready to go for
your convenience).
d. Wire for Greenhouse bracing. Or… 1 3/8” tubing
can also be used for added support.

e. 1 x 10’ length of top rail chain link fence tube –used
for the top purlin (or use your imagination to
make supports….).
f. Wood Ground pegs (Cut out of 1”x1” wood) – we
suggest Cedar or Pressure Treated to prevent rot.
g. Wood Screws (For Wood base)
h. Self Tapping Metal Screws

1 5/8" Pipe (7' 6") - These are the Ground stakes for securing your hoops in
the ground 6x30"

Wood Items (Cedar or Pressure Treated lumber is recommended):
For framing in the ends, 2x4's are suggested.
It is your choice to use 2x4's or 2x6's for the bottom wood frame.
Or to save on cost, a trench can be dug on either side of the greenhouse to cover and
secure the poly covering (Please refer to instruction Booklet
for more information).

Cement (for securing the ground stakes. Can be hammered in but
cementing is recommended)
