Aloha! Cultural Hawaii
escape to Oahu this winter!
Come experience Hawaii ‘Paramount Style’ ~ 4th annual tour
February 2 ~ 8 Days
Sometimes called ‘The Gathering Place’, Oahu certainly lives up to its name. The third
largest Hawaiian island is home to the majority of Hawaii’s diverse population, a fusion of
east and west cultures rooted in the values and traditions of the native Hawaiian people. It
is this fundamental contrast between the ancient and the modern that makes discovering
Oahu so enjoyable.
The clear blue waters of Kailua Beach meet the metropolitan cityscapes of Honolulu. The
historic architecture of Iolani Palace meets the timeless memorials of Pearl Harbor. The big
city of Waikiki meets the small town of Haleiwa on the North Shore. On Oahu, Hawaii’s
timeless beauty blends with the modern luxuries of today. From indulging in urban comforts
to escaping to natural wonders, Oahu’s ‘town and country’ experiences are unrivaled. With
so much to see and do, you’re never far away from just what you’re looking for on Oahu.
This tour allows plenty of free time to explore on your own, plus an itinerary filled with
history and scenery.

Utah is a land of incredible contrasts. From high mountain passes cloaked in
deep powdery snow to desert flats; from rolling green meadows to sandstone
splendour. Reflective of this diversity are Utah’s Mighty 5™ National Parks. Five
iconic national parks within easy driving distance of one another equals one epic
bucket list vacation. A trip to The Mighty 5™ means watching the sunrise over the
towering depths of Canyonlands National Park, then watching the sunset through
an impossibly delicate rock bow in Arches National Park. It means standing noseto-nose with ancient petroglyphs in Capitol Reef National Park, gazing down at
coral-hued rock hoodoos in Bryce Canyon National Park, then gazing upward at the
steep walls of a slot canyon in Zion National Park. Utah is a land of wild adventures,
ancient myths and the most beautiful landscapes in the world.

truly speechless, both with their own unique personality. Witness the fantastic array of brightly coloured
pinnacles, windowed walls, pedestals, fins and spires. More than a million acres of incredibly diverse and
beautiful land awaits you in Glen Canyon National Park. The canyons, buttes and desert sands invite you
to discover a place that tells a story of nearly 650 million years of earth’s history. Sedona offers history,
geology, archaeology, art and scenery. Warm desert sunshine, emerald green fairways and brilliant blue
skies make Palm Springs one of the world’s truly great resort communities. Enjoy a visit to the Golden
State’s capital, Sacramento where you can explore Old Town then return to Washington State for a final
night of luxury at the Tulalip Resort Casino. This fall come marvel at this powerful and inspiring landscape.

Scenic Surprises of Washington & Oregon
Mount St. Helens and Crater Lake featuring natural scenic wonders
Discover once again why Washington and
Oregon are two of the most scenic states in the
US! Washington State lures and inspires with
its dramatic landscapes, enchanting islands,
towering active volcanos, mystical rainforests,
plentiful streams, lakes and deep blue ocean. The
state is known for its unique combination of rich
culture and natural beauty. Columbia Gorge is the
nation’s only National Scenic Area and you get to
experience the breathtaking beauty firsthand. It is
America’s most notorious volcano and you get to
take a closer look! Enjoy exploring the awesome
landscapes of Mount St. Helens National Volcanic
Monument. This monument was established back
in August of 1982 and was set-aside for research,
recreation and education.
The state of Oregon beckons with its breathtaking natural
beauty, scenic grandeur and the nation’s only National Scenic
Area. Imagine traveling through lush green hills, pristine
forest, picturesque high desert and scenic river roads. Explore
the ‘highway of waterfalls’, gaze in awe at the beauty of
Crater Lake, a remnant of a fiery volcanic past and one of
North America’s deepest, bluest bodies of water. Journey
to the high desert and navigate the historic Columbia River
Highway. Mt. Hood and the Columbia River Gorge National
Scenic Area are unquestionably two of the most beautiful
places on earth. Hop aboard the Mt. Hood Railroad and
witness picturesque views of snowcapped mountain peaks as
you wind your way through woods, orchards and vineyards.
Travel the ‘King of Roads’ where spectacular waterfalls,
architectural gems and magnificent viewpoints can be found
at almost every turn.

Once upon a time, in a faraway land known as Bavaria,
a Prince married a Princess. The Prince’s loyal soldiers
thought that horse races and beer drinking would be
a most fitting way to celebrate the happy event... thus
Oktoberfest was born. Join us as we celebrate this
age-old tradition in the beautiful Okanagan at the
Delta Grand. Break out your lederhosen and enjoy a
fun-filled adventure including a group dinner with ’Felix’
providing the musical entertainment.

Travel through spectacular British Columbia, the Fraser Canyon, the Cariboo, and
the Bulkley Valley with sightseeing stops at Moricetown, K’san Village and historic
Hazelton. Marvel at Hagwilget Canyon as you cross a suspension bridge 79 metres
above the Bulkley River. The journey along the Skeena River is unforgettable.
Across the Hecate Strait to Haida Gwaii to ‘Roads Less Travelled’.
Located on a series of islands at the most westerly point of Canada, Haida Gwaii
is made up of quaint villages, secluded inlets, and white-sand beaches that stretch
as far as the eye can see. A place so remote that roads cannot bring you here, yet
the warmest of welcomes await once you arrive. Haida Gwaii has developed in
isolation from the mainland and was spared the effects of the ice age. As a result,
so many unique life forms have been shaped over thousands of years that the
islands are referred to as Canada’s Galapagos.
Canada’s most remote archipelago Haida Gwaii is an energizing place steeped
in culture with unique natural endowments. If you enjoy exploring and learning
about the Islands history and culture, Haida Gwaii offers an unforgettable
experience for anyone who visits. A local guide will take us on a tour of Tow Hill,
Old Masset, Naikoon Provincial Park and Queen Charlotte Village.
Visit Haida Gwaii and experience a world of intrigue, a world of adventure
and a world of undeniable breathtaking beauty. You will enjoy luxury highway
coach travel combined with sailings on some of BC Ferries newest vessels. The
luxurious Northern Expedition ‘Island Passage’ voyage includes outside berths
and a farewell dinner.

worked-out coal seams. Another favourite stop
is Coombs, especially if the goats are on the roof
of the International Market. Heading south we
stop in Chemainus with its quaint little shops and
world famous murals. Enjoy a Broadway quality
musical production of ‘Twist and Shout’ at the
Chemainus Theatre, dinner included.
We begin our Island experience in Parksville
making our way through Qualicum, Fanny Bay,
Union Bay, Courtenay and Campbell River. Gold
River is situated in a valley offering amazingly
beautiful views of mountain and forests. Friendly
Cove was first visited by Captain Cook in 1778
and became a centre of sea otter trade to China.
When it comes to the rugged beauty of the West
Coast, few areas compare with Nootka Sound.
We continue south on the Malahat Highway
into Duncan for a guided walking tour of the
totem poles in the downtown core. Our final
overnight stop is in our beautiful capital city
Victoria. A city tour of Chinatown, Fan Tan Alley,
Oak Harbour and Beacon Park await you. A stop
in Sidney before boarding the ferry back to the
lower mainland is a fitting end to a wonderful
Island holiday.
