WKU DAY/ KY Museum Sample Field Trip Itinerary (Minimum 25 students / Maximum 90) $6.00 per student 8:50 AM Students unload in bus lane next to museum and greeted by KM staff. Chaperone requirement: One adult for every 10 students. 9:00-10:45 Groups are taken on a one hour walking tour of campus (including approximately 20 minutes at the WKU Store). Each group will be led by KM staff; however each group must be accompanied by educator and adult chaperones that will be responsible for discipline, minor emergencies, etc. 10:45ish-12 Lunch on Campus* *Teacher makes advance reservations with WKU Food Services at 270-745-2416 *Weather permitting, some schools bring sack lunches, plastic table clothes and trash bags and eat picnic style by the Lincoln statue in front of the KY Building. 12-12:15 Students walk back to KY Building (Western room). Students are shown a brief Western overview session. Students are shown brief PowerPoint on the Kentucky Building. 12:15-1:15 Groups are taken on tour of three exhibits by KM staff. Emphasis will be on KY Building’s role in WKU History. 1:15ish Tour concludes back at the KY Building with a final bathroom stop and/or KY gift shop. 1:30ish Load buses from KY building.
