MISCELLANEOUS
FLEC 2015-2016 Registration
• Beginning Wednesday, January 14
1. The application fee for returning students will be $50 until
February 25. The fee will increase to $90 on February 26. Please
take advantage of the lower fee by applying early. The registration
fee will be $300 due on, or before, August 1.
2. Effective January 14, you may re-enroll through ParentsWeb
or our FLEC website—www.myflec.com.
3. Your information is only as accurate as what you supply. Please
check for accuracy. Returning students going into Kindergarten
and 7th Grade MUST have updated immunizations before
applications will be accepted. You may email questions to our
FLEC nurse at [email protected].

Pathfinder Bible Experience (Bible Bowl)
The Forest Lake Bible Bowl Team will participate in the PBE
Challenge on Saturday, February 7, where they will compete
with other teams from around Central Florida on their Bible
knowledge. Please pray for our team that have been working hard
and studying since last summer.

parents when only three weeks of age as they were being deported
to the frigid labor camps of Siberia during World War II, tells his

Ezekiel’s Wheels
Music Concert
The King’s Heralds quartet will present a concert at the Forest Lake
Church today, January 17, at 5:00 p.m. Founded in 1927, the
King’s Heralds quartet embodies a rich heritage in gospel music,
performing a variety of musical styles which makes them a favorite
with audiences of all ages.
For our first ride of the New Year, Randy is taking us to The
Sugar Mill at DeLeon Springs for breakfast on Sunday, January
18, for some awesome pancakes and other good food. Yes, it’s
this Sunday! Meet at the Forest Lake Church parking lot at 8:30
a.m.—KSU at 8:45 a.m. So, rise and shine and come join us on
our first ride of 2015!
Guest Speaker – January 24 (2nd Service Only)
On Sabbath, January 24, Jeremy Anderson will be our speaker
at second service. Jeremy is the associate director of The Man
Up Initiative and COO of Spirit Reign Communications. He
has authored three books: From Prodigal to Prodigy, his personal
autobiography; POWER Apps, a Daily Devotional for Youth/Young
Adults; Self-Destruction, how to die to self and live in the Spirit of
God. Jeremy and his wife, Traci, live in Alabama where he serves
as an elder and Young Adult Outreach team leader. He is currently
working on a Masters of Pastoral Studies at Oakwood University.

Attention FLA Seniors!
EARLITEEN / YOUTH (7th - 12th Grade)
Frank Barton will be offering the Prison Ministry training course
on Saturday, January 24, at the Poinciana SDA Church, 4900 Old
Mt. Pleasant Road, Kissimmee, FL. It will begin mid-afternoon

Your final year of high school can be filled with many urgent
tasks that include the completion of your FAFSA application. If
you would like to receive personalized assistance by the experts in
Financial Aid from Adventist University of Health Sciences and
Southern Adventist University on filling out your application, join
us at FLA on Sunday, January 25, from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00p.m. All

Forest Lake Academy Open House
Students grades 8-11 and their parents are invited to join us for
our VIEW FLA Open House on Sunday and Monday, February
8 and 9. VIEW FLA will be a preview of what high school life is
like, plus give you the opportunity to meet our teachers, interact
with our students, tour our campus and participate in all kinds
of activities—spiritual, academic and social. Mark your calendar
and plan on joining us! VIEW FLA starts at 12:30 p.m., February

MEMORIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Donald Edward Holland passed away on Tuesday, December
16. A memorial service will be held at the Florida Hospital SDA
Church today, January 17, at 3:00 p.m.
Ivy Louise Silvera passed away on Saturday, January 10. She
is survived by two daughters, Marguerite Silvera and Claudette
Silvera; six grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. A funeral
service will be held at the Forest Lake Church (sanctuary) on
Sunday, January 18. Viewing at 10:00 a.m. and service at 11:00
a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Heart
Association or American Diabetes Association.
