We pray for the needs of the local church and the world. We hear reports from missions and individuals we support, hear news of what’s happening in the church, and have time for sharing personal news and requests for prayer. This term we are mainly studying the gospel of John, and learning to recognise who Jesus is and what he has come to do. Just before Lent we take a look at the grumpy prophet Jonah as he is confronted with the grace of God. You will notice some new names as preachers: Carolyn Laycock has been studying on the Peninsular Gospel Partnership course since September 2013, and Steve Matheson, Mark Harrison, Simon Plumley and Mark Alexander have been training with Chris Murphy to preach and teach the bible. Please pray for them, and encourage them as they put their gifts to use. Special Events- Jan - March 2015 Sunday 11th January - Walking the Way course taster Jesus said “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No-one comes to the Father except through me” Discover what it means to Walk in the Way, Know the Truth Live the Life. This course will prepare you for baptism, confirmation or renewal of faith. Taster Session: 7pm Sunday 11 January 2015 Church Room, East Street, Bovey Tracey A Changing Church- past, present and future Preb Becky Totterdell and Preb Michael Samson will be helping understand how and why God’s people gathering together, and what part buildings play in encountering God.
