Applications will be issued during June/July of every year.
Course will be started in the month of January.
Obtaining the Application
The application form can be obtained either in person or by post.
In-Person : The Application form and Prospectus can be directly obtained in
person either from the University Office or Zonal Centres or from the Special
Education Programme Study Centres by way of Cash or Demand Draft for
Rs. 250/- drawn in favour of “TamilNadu Open University” payable at
Chennai.
By Post : Those who wish to get the Application form and Prospectus by post
should send a Demand Draft for Rs. 300/- drawn in favour of “TamilNadu
Open University” payable at Chennai sent to “The Registrar, TamilNadu
Open University, No.577, Anna Salai, Saidapet, Chennai-15”.

PGPD in special Education is offered in the following disability areas:

Eligibility
B.Ed in General Education / B.Ed in Special Education.
4.
Duration of the Programme
PGPDSE is of 1 year.
5.
Medium of Instruction
The medium of instruction is both Tamil and English.

In-take
A total number of seats is 500. 40 seats in a specialisation are allotted for each
Programme Study Centre.
7.
Programme Fee
The programme fee is Rs. 9,500/- for the entire programme. The total fee is to
be paid at the time of admission in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour
of “Tamil Nadu Open University”, payable at Chennai.

Administration Procedure
Selection for admission and allotment of Study Centres will be made through
Admission Counselling based on the percentage of marks obtained by the
candidate in B.Ed General Education / B.Ed Special Education.
