DEPARTMENT OF CIVIL ENGINEERING:
Civil Engineering in Centurion University is
offered in Bhubaneswar and Parlakhemundi. The
pedagogy is a mix of theory and practice. Like all
departments, Civil also has about 40% practical
component. The mission of the Department is to establish
itself as a Centre of Excellence in the field of Civil
Engineering, through innovative teaching-learning
methods, intensive hands on practice, short term
programs, institute-Industry partnerships and projects on
civil engineering, appropriate technology, social
development and research. The well-equipped laboratories
and dedicated, qualified and committed faculty and
supporting staff together form the core of the branch.
Objective of Conference:
The objectives are to acquaint the participants about the
recent advances in the field of Civil Engineering.
Advances in engineering field are very rapid. New
materials, new methods and new areas of interest bubble
up every minute. The age old practice has been
superceded by the modern trends. The participants should
be aware of and acquainted with the rapid development so
that they do not fall behind. This will be an advantage to
the society at large. The objectives of the seminar would
be to focus on the prospects and advances on Civil
Engineering. It will reflect on the Post graduates and the
research scholars about the recent professional practices
and their adaptation.
