ANNEX 1 - National Rules of Funding Parties

2. Participation criteria:
This call is open to Algerian public research entities established and based in Algeria.
The Algerian partner can be: a team in / division / laboratory of academic and research institutes;
including research centres, universities laboratories among others. The institution where the project
leader belongs must have the necessary means and heavy scientific equipment to conduct and
manage of the proposed project.
The principal investigator of the project should be a Professor, Research director, Senior Research
(MCA, or MRA).
3. Funding criteria:
The funding provided via DGRSDT applies only to expenses covered under the published
ministerial decree establishing the nomenclature of revenue and expenditure (No. 302082 "National
Scientific Research and Technological Development Fund” ). It is noted that heavy equipment
expenses are not included. The Algerian partner can apply for a maximum funding equivalent to €
25,000 per project per year, which corresponds to a maximum of € 75,000 for a maximum of 3
years.
Project Duration:
The duration of a project may vary between 24 and 36 months.
4. Themes to be funded:
DGRSDT intends to fund the following themes:
- Renewable energy and energy efficiency (call identifier: JC-ENERGY-2014)
- Water resources management (call identifier: JC-WATER-2014)
- ENERGY-WATER nexus (call identifier: JC-NEXUS-2014)
5. Action/s (innovation or capacity building or mobility) to be funded beside
collaborative research:
• Collaborative research, accounting for an impact, demand and support policy driven research.
• Innovation, including support for prototype development and demonstration actions.
• Capacity building, including also support to build capacity for enhancing innovation.
• Mobility, mainly in the form of grants for young Algerian researchers to pursue post- graduate
studies in connection with the projects.
Funding motilities are applied according to the regulations applied to institutions of higher
education (MESRS).
6. OPERATION EXPENSES:
Reimbursement of costs:
- Mission and travel expenses of researchers in Algeria and abroad;
- Scientific Meetings: organization, accommodation, catering and transport;
- Fees investigators;
- Fees guides;
- Fees of experts and consultants;
- Costs of studies, works and services performed on behalf of the research unit.
Equipment and furniture:
- Scientific and audio-visual equipment among instruments;
- Spare part of computer equipments, accessories, software and supplies
computer;
- Laboratory furniture;
- Maintenance and repairing cost of equipment.
Supplies:
- Chemicals;
- Consumables;
- Electronic components, mechanical and audio -visual;
- Stationery and office supplies;
- Periodicals;
- Documentation and research materials ;
- Supplies laboratory needs (animals, plants , etc ... ) .
Additional Charges:
- Printing and publishing;
- Postal Postage;
- Telephone calls, fax, and Internet fees;
- Other costs (taxes, customs duties , financial expenses, insurance, storage
costs , among other );
- Database (acquisition and subscription).
- Fuel and lubricants;
- Vehicle rental fees for field research work.
7. VALORIZATION AND TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT EXPENSES:
- Costs of the project’s design and definition to be highlighted;
- Incubation costs;
- Innovation service costs;
- Costs of developing prototypes, artworks, pilot production, pilot plants and demonstrations.
Costs of training for supporting of projects principal investigators;
- Costs of intellectual property:
• Anteriority research;
• Patent Registration application, trademark and model;
• Registration Software;
• Protection of plant, animal and varieties among other;
• Attorneys' fees.
- Part of the costs for the project's design and definition for highlights;
- Incubation side costs;
- Innovation side costs service;
- Part costs of developing prototypes, artworks, parts for pilot production parts pilot plants and
demonstrations.
PS: It should be noted that according to the provisions of the regulation in force, other costs
under international projects are the subject of a request to the DGRSDT.
