TEMPLE, TX (May 16, 2014) – CEFCO Convenience Stores and parent company Fikes Wholesale, Inc., announced at its 13
Annual “Hackers-R-Us” Charity Golf Tournament, held on May 13, 2014, that they will be donating a record grand total of
$695,000. Of the money raised this year, $645,000 will go to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, and $50,000 to Central Texas
A&M C.E. Fikes Endowed Scholarship.
Also announced was a $1,000,000 commitment to the McLane’s Children Hospital, Scott & White, and the naming of the
Fikes/CEFCO Emergency Center at the McLane’s Children Hospital.

“Every year we think we have given our all to these very worthy causes, yet the following year the passion our team has for the
Children resonates with even greater results” said Brett Giesick, Chief Retail Officer of CEFCO Convenience Stores. “We are extremely proud of the commitment that our 2,500 associates exhibit towards helping these Children in need. Special recognition
goes to our top selling Store Manager’s, Greg Sullivan of Claude Texas, and Peg Barta of Temple, Texas, whose store teams sold
nearly $11,000 and $10,000 CMN balloons respectively. Without the efforts of our frontline associates, Fikes/CEFCO support
department fundraising, business partners, and customers, these results would not be possible.”
The day was capped off with a $645,000 donation to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, and a $50,000 donation to Central
Texas A&M in the form of a C.E. Fikes Endowed Scholarship. Fikes Wholesale now supports eight individual C.E. Fikes Endowed
Scholarships, that commemorate CEFCO’s founder Clarence Edison Fikes, in the communities that Fikes/CEFCO serve.
