Introduction
Energy is one of the major building blocks of modern society.
Industries are attributed to be the main sources of environmental
pollution. The problems associated with the energy and
environment have now become the subject of international
debate. Engineers play vital role in devising environmental
pollution mitigating techniques and developing sustainable
energy technologies.
In the context of the above, an international conference on
chemical, energy and environmental engineering is
contemplated to provide a forum for constructive dissemination
of knowledge and research in this field among the
academicians, scientists and industry people.
Theme of the conference
The main themes of the conference are energy, environment
and sustainability which are the current challenges being faced
by the engineers and scientists around the world today. In
addition to the main themes, the conference will also cover the
recent important areas in chemical and allied fields such as
CFD, green technology, process intensification and novel
separation techniques, process systems engineering
applications, etc.
About the Department
The Department of Chemical Engineering offers an
Undergraduate program in Chemical Engineering, a Post
Graduate program in Chemical Engineering with Specialization
in Computer Aided Process & Equipment Design and also PhD
program. The Department consists of experienced faculty and
well established laboratories.
The Department has been recognized as a QIP Center for
pursuing both M.Tech and Ph.D programs. The Department is
currently celebrating 50 years of its existence. To commemorate
the golden jubilee year of its inception, the department is
organizing the international conference.
About Warangal and the Institute
Warangal is known for its rich historical and cultural heritage. It is
situated at a distance of 140 km from Hyderabad. Warangal is
well connected by rail and road.
NIT Warangal campus is about 2 and 12 km away from Kazipet
and Warangal railway stations respectively. National Institute of
Technology (formerly Regional Engineering College) Warangal
is the first among RECs that was set-up in 1959 as a joint venture of
state and central Government of India.
To give further impetus to the technical education, the
Government of India upgraded the RECs to NITs and conferred
the status of Institutes of National Importance.
Over the years, NIT Warangal has evolved itself as a premier
Institute imparting top quality technical education leading to
B.Tech degrees in eight branches of engineering, M.Tech, M.Sc,
MCA, MBA and Ph.D programs with various specializations.
