Airport Curfew
SJC’s curfew between 11:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. prohibits commercial takeoffs or
landings by aircraft exceeding an average of 89 decibels, with exceptions based
on weather, mechanical, or air traffic control issues. The purpose of the curfew is
to minimize nighttime noise associated with airport operations and improve
quality of life in nearby neighborhoods.

Focus on New International Flights
SJC served 9.4 million departing and

increase over the previous year. Growth is
