A MESSAGE FROM GPhA’S PRESIDENT & CEO
Dear Industry Colleagues:
I am pleased to invite you to the 2012 GPhA Annual Meeting
as we usher in another year of progress and success for the
generic industry.
Each year, more than 500 attendees gather at this annual event
to hear thought leaders and industry experts discuss the key
issues affecting your business. Our program offers insight into
critical economic, regulatory and legislative issues impacting
health care and the generic pharmaceutical sector.
We’re especially pleased that our 2012 agenda features a
keynote address from Dr. Margaret Hamburg, Commissioner
of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. This marks the
third consecutive year that Dr. Hamburg has keynoted our
conference; you won’t want to miss her presentation.
We also are delighted that Florida Governor Rick Scott will
kick off our Annual Meeting with a discussion of the role
generics play in containing health care cost. And, in addition
to the excellent array of plenary sessions, we are once again
presenting the ever-popular “CEOs Unplugged,” moderated by
Fox News Channel’s Stuart Varney.
Add to this lineup our Business Exposition—the only industry
event of its kind for showcasing products and services before
top company decision-makers—and I think you will agree
when we say that the 2012 GPhA Annual Meeting is “the
industry event of the year.”
So whether your interests are in the educational sessions,
meeting top industry executives, or networking with industry
colleagues, this is an opportunity you cannot pass up.
I urge you to register today and I look forward to seeing you
in Orlando!

NETWORKING AND SOCIAL EVENTS
As part of the 2012 Annual Meeting, GPhA will host a variety of exciting professional networking opportunities and social
events. Our program includes a Welcome Reception, the Annual Meeting Reception and Dinner Party and a Farewell
Reception. These activities along with a luncheon, breakfasts and networking breaks, provide the ideal setting for relaxed,
professional networking.
In addition on Friday afternoon we host our GPhA Annual Golf Tournament. For the non-golfers, we offer the choices of fly
fishing or a kayaking eco-tour starting at the Headwaters of the Florida Everglades.
GPhA Annual Golf Tournament
Join us Friday afternoon for the GPhA Annual Golf Tournament at the beautiful Grande Lakes Greg Norman Signature Golf
Course. Set within the pristine Headwaters of the Florida Everglades and surrounded by magnificent pines, palmettos, and
live oaks, this distinguished Orlando golf resort offers a luxury experience unlike any other in the area. This annual event
draws top industry executives for a wonderful day of golf. Box lunch is included.
Fly Fishing
Running concurrently with our golf tournament on Friday afternoon, the fly fishing excursion takes place on the 40-acre
Shingle Pond (parallel to Shingle Creek), which sits on the most remote section of Grande Lakes. Fly fishing enthusiasts have
the chance to reel in trophy largemouth bass. Beginner and experienced fly fishers are welcome.
Kayaking Eco-Tour
Running concurrently with our golf tournament on Friday afternoon, the kayaking eco-tour is a guided kayak tour of
Shingle Creek, the Headwaters to the Florida Everglades. You will learn about the history of Shingle Creek and observe

“Keynote addresses from industry-leading speakers, the ability to meet with vendors exhibiting critical products and services
that support our industry, and the opportunity to network with fellow executives and decision-makers from across the
generic pharmaceutical environment make the GPhA Annual Meeting the single most significant showcase for our industry.”
Paul Bisaro, Watson Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
“GPhA’s Annual Meeting is the generic industry’s premier event to meet and build relationships with leading companies and
executives in the industry. The meeting is broad to appeal to both large and small companies and intimate to facilitate oneon-one meeting opportunities. GPhA’s Annual Meeting is the most important industry gathering for networking and building
personal relationships with leaders in the industry. From attending over many years, the annual meeting has proven to be the
destination to meet with or reconnect with numerous companies.”
David Koo, RoundTable Healthcare Partners
“Symbio always looks forward to attending GPhA annual meetings. It is a great
place to exhibit and have a home base while we catch up with our clients and
friends. Each year, we leave the GPhA annual meeting with new opportunities
and new contacts, which is why it is a can’t miss event. If we could only attend one
meeting a year, this would be the one.”
Richard Panico, Symbio LLC
“The updates on what is going on in Washington are very valuable. The CEO’s
Unplugged is insightful. The social events allow me to meet new people in the
industry. Overall a very fun and worthwhile meeting.”
Dr. K.L. Spear, Spear Pharmaceuticals
