GTU will live webcast the 4th Annual Convocation Ceremony
for the students unable to receive degree in-person
The 4th Annual Convocation of Gujarat Technological University will take place on
Thursday, 22nd January, 2015 at GTU Chandkheda Campus. The Governor of Gujarat and the
Chancellor of Gujarat Technological University H.E. Om Prakash Kohli will confer the
degrees to all the GTU students eligible to get the degree. Dr. Akshai Aggarwal will present
the Vice-Chancellor’s Report while Mr J. C. Lilani,Registrar (I/C) will deliver the welcome
speech.
GTU will confer the Honorary Doctorate to Padmashri Shri. A. S. Kiran Kumar best
known as the highly accomplished space scientist and engineer with a distinguished career
spanning over four decades in ISRO in the satellite payload and applications domains. 70379
students of GTU are eligible to get degree or diploma certificate during the year 2014-15. Total
144 students will be awarded with Gold Medal in 9 different courses. More than 5000 students
are expected to remain present to receive the degree during the 4th Annual Convocation. GTU
will live telecast the 4th Annual Convocation Ceremony for the students unable to receive

Principals & trustees, Deans of GTU affiliated colleges, Boards of Governors,
Dignitaries of Education Department, Government of Gujarat, Medal donors, Parents of
students receiving degree in person and many more will evidence the ceremony on 22nd
January 2015.
