Information: A Volksmarch is a non-competitive walk along a pre-marked route. You may walk, jog, or run, as you desire. IVV/AVA Sanction: The event in this brochure has been sanctioned by the American Volkssport Association (AVA), a member of the International Federation of Popular Sports (IVV) and counts toward the acquisition of IVV achievement awards. This event will take place regardless of weather. Eligibility: This event is open to everyone regardless of age. An adult must accompany and sign for a minor. Registrants will receive AVV/IVV credit. Procedures: Register by filling out a start card waiver at the start point. All participants must carry a start card. Return the start card at the completion of the walk. . Fees: IVV Event and Distance Credit only is $3.00. IVV Event Credit may be used only once. If you wish additional distance credit, you may do the walk twice on the same start card Checks should be made payable to Delta Tule Trekkers. Then we’ll walk along paved, dirt and gravel trails through the woods and along the river to the pedestrian bridge between San Joaquin County and Stanislaus County. After the walk you may wish to go to Ripon Mistlin Park for Ripon’s Annual Almond Blossom Festival, or go to the many restaurants in town for lunch or dinner.
