World Headquarters Principal Financial Group (PFG) Website Now Available The Principal Financial Group (PFG) website is now available for all employees and will provide quick access to a variety of information regarding your pension benefits including: • • • • Information on your accrued benefits and your vested status Summary of employment data used in the determination of your pension benefits Summary Plan Description booklets providing an explanation of how your pension benefits are calculated and other detailed information on the plan Helpful retirement planning tools including informational articles, pension benefit projection calculators, and other useful resources Please refer to the attached instructions for details on how to access your information. The process required for first-time users is different from the requirements for later logins, primarily because you’ll need to establish security verifications upon your first use. Please note that the attached login instructions detail the applicable “retirement plan numbers” or “contract numbers” that PFG utilizes to identify the various pension programs that Cooper Standard Automotive sponsors. Please use this reference and enter the contract number applicable to your specific pension plan. If you are a relatively new employee, you will be able to access the website, but until you meet participation requirements, certain information (like prior benefit statements and the retirement estimator tool) will be unavailable. You will still have access to important and useful information like Summary Plan Description booklets and other reference material. Beneficiary Information We encourage all employees to review their pension beneficiary information. As busy as people’s lives are today, it is easy to forget to either update or change both your pension and 401(k) beneficiary designations. Please take a moment to review the information and if you would like to change or update your beneficiary information, please contact your local Human Resource department. We encourage you to visit the website at www.principal.com to take full advantage of this useful tool. If you have any questions regarding the website, questions about your specific pension information or if you require assistance logging in, please contact PFG’s Retirement Service Center directly at (800) 547-7754. 39550 Orchard Hill Place ▪ Novi, MI 48375 • Phone: 248-596-5900 • Fax: 248-596-6550 From The Principal® Innovative Retirement Services Guide This guide provides helpful information to assist you with accessing retirement plan information by logging onto The Principal Retirement Service Center® at www.principal.com or by calling TeleTouch®, an interactive voice response system, at 1-800-547-7754. The benefit calculator is easy to use and projects an estimate of your retirement income based on your annual compensation in the previous year and Cooper-Standard’s specific plan provisions. You can access the calculator by following the login instructions above, and the calculator may be accessed in the Planning Center, or by clicking on ‘Calculators’ under the Tool section in the bottom left hand corner at any time. Please keep in mind the following as you review the Estimated Benefit Calculator: • Compensation for the year you project to terminate or retire is not included. • You can choose any age (age 65 or younger) for your termination or retirement and benefit start date, as long as it follows plan provisions. If you are considering retirement within the next year or are over age 65, call a retirement specialist at the Principal Financial Group® toll free at 1-800-547-7754 to discuss your estimate.
