MALONEY/MOLONEY Hannah nee RYAN, b abt.1798 in Lackeraogh/Lackareagh, County Clare, IRL,
came to Australia onboard the Kate arriving in 1855 with her children Patrick, Roger, John, Michael, Lot,
Elizabeth, Daniel & Julie/Julia/Judith, leaving behind husband Patrick who may had expired by this time.
She was 57 years of age (passenger list shows her age as 40). Two other daughters Bridget and Mary were
already in Australia and were mentioned as their sponsors. The boys settled in the Robertson area and it is
believed that Hannah resided with one of them (could have been Roger). Not much is known of the girls
apart from Julia who married John BRADY. Eliza Maloney was their witness together with a Walter Ryan
who may have been a cousin. Hannah died in 1888 and is buried at Burrawang Cemetery. They are part of
a larger group of Maloneys emanating from two brothers Thomas and Patrick sons of Lot.
