Group HP) SPECIFICATION & PRODUCTS FOR INDUSTRIAL WP BREAK GLASS TYPE P.B.STATION/CONTROL
STATION/LCS/LPBS (PIL BOX/MANUAL CALL POINT/BREAK GLASS) IN CAST ALUMINIUM (LM-6) ENCLOSURES :- Supply of Cast
Aluminium Pil box suitable for wall/Structure mounting. All the enclosures are cast out of superior quality aluminium alloy. All the surfaces are
carefully cleaned and levelled so as to give very smooth surface. All the enclosures are chromatised and finally epoxy powder coated by static
charge spray method by RED colour per IS5. Powder coating gives very tough durable and extremely smooth coating on the surface.All the
mating surfaces are provided with round rubber gasket in the groove so as to make it effectively dust and vermain proof.
MOUNTING :- External lugs are provided for fixing. The lugs offset such that the rear part of the unit stays away from surface.
FIXING OF ELEMENTS :- For wall mounting L & T make 1NO+1NC contact element is mounted inside.Cover is fixed bolted type.A pointed
piece is fixed on element and on smashing of glass this piece will pierce through glass and change over of contacts will take place.
CABLE ENTRIES :- Threaded cable entries are provided at the bottom.
HARDWARE :- All external hardware used will be Stainless Steel.
EARTHING :- Earthing is provided on both sides of the enclosures by 5mm screw with two plain washers and one spring washer. Earthing is

EXTERNAL CANOPY :- Our Pil Boxes are suitable for outdoor mounting without any canopy. We also manufacture Pil Boxes with aluminium
integral canopy.
INSPECTION & TESTING :- Each Pil Box will be subjected to routine tests in accordance with relevant Indian Standards & including the
following:(1) Dimentional check as per drawing. (2) Operation test. (3) Insulation test with 500V Megger.(4) HV Test at 2KV for 60 Seconds.(5)
Earth continuity test. (6)Smashing of glass.
ADVANTAGES OF CAST ALUMINIUM PIL BOX OVER SHEET METAL FABRICATED PILBOX :- (1) Cast Aluminium Pil Box can be made
in any desired and convenient shape and thus nsuring dust,vermin and weather proofness.It is impossible to get any desired shape in sheet
metal.(2) In case of Cast aluminium all individual pieces will be exactly of same size and shape as these are cast out of same mould. Fabricated
boxes are likely to vary in shape on account of human error and other difficulties.(3) Finishing of Cast Aluminium will be superb and same is not
possible in small fabricated boxes.(4) Aluminium is light weight and non corrosive whereas sheet metal is heavy and corrosive. Cast Aluminium
has even good scrap value.
