constitutional law to legal theory to tort law. After a stint at Tulane Law School, Professor Turley joined the GW Law

(exploring the growing attacks on free speech
from hate speech laws to anti discrimination laws)
He is the founder and executive director of the Project for Older Prisoners (POPS). He has written more than three dozen
academic articles that have appeared in a variety of leading law journals including those of Cornell, Duke, Georgetown,
Harvard, and Northwestern Universities, among others. He most recently completed a three-part study of the historical and
constitutional evolution of the military system.
Professor Turley has served as counsel in some of the most notable cases in the last two decades, including his representation
of the Area 51 workers at a secret air base in Nevada; the nuclear couriers at Oak Ridge, Tennessee; the Rocky Flats grand
jury in Colorado; Dr. Eric Foretich, the husband in the Elizabeth Morgan custody controversy; and four former U.S.
Attorney Generals during the Clinton impeachment litigation. Professor Turley also has served as counsel in a variety of national security and
terrorism cases, and has been ranked as one of the top 10 lawyers handling military cases.
He has served as a consultant on homeland security and constitutional issues, and is a frequent witness before the House and Senate on constitutional
and statutory issues as well as tort reform legislation. He also is a nationally recognized legal commentator; he ranked 38th in the top 100 most cited
‘public intellectuals’ in a recent study by Judge Richard Posner and was found to be the second most cited law professor in the country.

TONI MARSH is the founding director of the GW paralegal studies program, which comprises a campus-based
Master’s degree and Graduate Certificate and a fully online Master’s degree. The online program has won awards for
the best online course in the country (AAfPE 2009) and the 2010 National Program of Excellence (UCEA 2010).
Professor Marsh designed and launched the paralegal program at UNC, Charlotte, which now enjoys the highest
exam passage rate in the state. She has designed and taught several courses for the Georgetown University paralegal
studies program, where she led the ABA approval project. Professor Marsh designed and is about to launch an
international paralegal clinic in Tanzania, in which GW students will work alongside Tanzanian paralegal to provide
legal services to villagers, while training Tanzanian students as paralegals.

CONTINUING LEGAL EDUCATION SESSIONS: All sessions held at the DIXIE CENTER at St. George.
BADGES: Your badge is your admission to all CLE and General Sessions as well as the Opening Reception. Spouses/Partners must also register and wear a
badge to attend CLE events.
CONVENTION ATTIRE: A primary function of the Convention is to provide a casual atmosphere that allows attendees to meet with their peers
from across the state. Therefore, the dress code is casual for the entire Convention.
SPECIAL ACCOMMODATIONS: If, under the Americans with Disabilities Act, you require special accommodations, please contact the
Utah State Bar CLE Department, (801) 531-9077, at least one week prior to the Convention.
MANDATORY CLE: The Utah MCLE Board has approved the 2015 Spring Convention for up to 10 hours of CLE credit, which includes up to 1 hour
Professionalism/Civility, 2 hours for the CLE FILM PRESENTATION (PLEASE NOTE THE NEW DAY & TIME: FRIDAY EVENING 6:00–8:30 pm),
1 hour for the Friday luncheon and 1 hour for the new Friday 2:00 pm breakouts. To ensure that you receive Utah MCLE credit, check in at the Registration Desk.
PROGRAM MATERIALS: A manual is provided which includes the complete agenda of CLE and Convention activities and events, awards and
keynote materials. All other breakout materials are available online and internet access is provided at the Convention center. Some additional materials are
provided at the speaker’s request.
REGISTRATION CANCELLATION: Only written or e-mail requests for refunds will be accepted. Such requests must be made to Richard Dibblee,
[email protected]. The Bar has no desire to retain moneys paid by members unable to attend. However, guarantees and other related expenses
make the following refund schedule necessary. All cancellations are subject to a $50 administrative fee. Convention registration cancellations will be
