On behalf of the Asian American Bar Association of New York (AABANY), I would like to invite you to attend and support
our 26th Annual Dinner, “Charting New Frontiers,” on Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at Cipriani Wall Street (55 Wall
Street, New York, NY 10005).
For our 2015 Annual Dinner, we are pleased to announce that Jenny R. Yang, Chair, U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity
Commission, will receive the AABANY Women’s Leadership Award and An-Ping Hsieh, Vice President and General
Counsel, Hubbell Incorporated, will receive the AABANY Corporate Counsel Leadership Award. We will also be awarding
the AABANY Public Service Leadership Award at our 2015 Annual Dinner to an individual to be announced at a later
date.
Last year, our 25th Anniversary Celebration drew approximately 800 attorneys, judges, friends, and supporters of AABANY,
which included sponsorship from over 60 law firms and corporations, making it the most highly attended annual dinner
in AABANY’s history. We plan on an even bigger turnout this year.
The funds raised at the Annual Dinner serve as AABANY’s principal source of financing for its numerous and wide-ranging
activities. Certified by the New York State Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Board as an Accredited Provider, AABANY
provides CLEs to our members throughout the year free of charge or at preferential rates, including our Annual Fall
Conference. This year’s AABANY Fall Conference (http://bit.ly/fc14_page) attracted more than 250 attendees to 14 CLE
programs. AABANY also provides law student mock interview and resume review workshops, mentoring programs for law
students and junior lawyers, networking events across numerous legal practice disciplines, and pro-bono initiatives ranging
from enforcement of voting rights to participation in legal education events for the at-large Asian American community.
You can provide support for our Annual Dinner through one of several levels of corporate sponsorships. As a sponsor, you
will receive recognition in our Annual Dinner marketing materials, including the annual dinner program distributed to
each of our guests, and for the following year, your company logo plus a link to your website will appear on AABANY’s
home page.
AABANY is the largest minority bar association in the State of New York with approximately 1,100 current active members,
and is also a New York regional affiliate of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (“NAPABA”).
