NOVO-TECH GmbH & Co. KG has been producing megawood® products,
exclusively at the location of Aschersleben, on the eastern edge of the
Harz mountain range. More than 100 employees commit all their knowhow and their motivation to create a material which oﬀers far more possibilities than have yet been explored. NOVO-TECH GmbH & Co. KG is
Europe’s largest manufacturer of wood polymer materials and sells them
worldwide, from Iceland to Australia, from Brazil to Siberia.
In our material, the natural product wood unites with innovative polymer
technology to form a unique, environmentally friendly and recyclable
natural material. With a natural ﬁbre ﬁlling of more than 75%, our wooden
material is suitable for true outside use. Its unrivalled extreme surface
hardness makes our material very resistant against scratches; it is
long-lasting and practically splinter-free and also very low maintenance.

megawood® barefoot boards are produced from up to 75% natural ﬁbres
on cutting-edge production systems that are unique worldwide. The
wooden ﬁbres come from sustainably managed forests that have been
certiﬁed by PEFC, a transparent and independent standard to ensure
sustainable forestry. PEFC is accepted worldwide as a certiﬁcate for
sustainable forestry. The entire production – from the raw material to
ready-to-use end product – is certiﬁed and monitored by independent
experts.
Environmentally friendly binding agents, additives and natural ﬁbres are
combined in a patented production procedure to form the long-lasting
megawood® wood-polymer material. Due to this procedure, the natural
ﬁbres maintain their unusual resistance.
All positive properties of natural wood are maintained and are supplemented by many more advantages. All components are PVC-free and
can be recycled in megawood® recycling.
megawood® products are subject to the highest certiﬁcation requirements
of the quality association Holzwerkstoﬀe e.V. Our products are therefore
continuously examined for quality by internal and periodically external
experts. This way, we guarantee a constant level of high quality for our

Child-friendly, safe and without health risks – this is an adequate
description of our products. megawood® is happy about the excellent
test results of EPH-GmbH Dresden: In awarding the seal it is oﬃcially
conﬁrmed that our products fulﬁl the highest requirements. In a control
procedure that is recognized everywhere in Europe, the EPH-GmbH
tested our wood products for its material properties. In particular,
release of hazardous heavy metals was tested according to the strict
directives of DIN EN 71-3. This standard includes precise speciﬁcations
for approval of children’s toys. megawood® products are the ﬁrst ones
from wood polymer material that have been certiﬁed for production of
children’s toys. The Dresden-based Entwicklungs- und Prüﬂabor für
Holztechnologie GmbH (development and test laboratory for wood
technology) (EPH) has tested megawood® according to the strict directives
of DIN EN 71-3 and approved our product for production of children’s
toys. Therefore, megawood® is also in this regard a forerunner for healthy
and responsible treatment of the young wood-polymer material.

processed and made ﬁt for re-use. We are happy to accept your used
megawood® barefoot boards free of charge. This way, all properly

are converted into new environmentally-friendly products by megawood®.
This process is singular worldwide in the area of wood polymer materials

The megawood® terrace system oﬀers the right deck structure variant
for any application in addition to a special step comfort due to the
dampened structure of the FIX STEP system. Detailed information about
the various deck types is included in our construction manual.
Open deck Depending on the purpose, open decks can be
installed in two diﬀerent versions: as mounted deck or at ground level.
With a mounted deck it is possible to implement continuous transitions,
for instance to a threshold. The raised structure of this deck version can
be perfectly rounded oﬀ in appearance by means of megawood® smooth
edge boards.
With the ground level deck version, you can create continuous transitions
to your lawn surfaces using surrounding lawn edging kerb stones. These
open deck variants are recommended when installing pool projects
because the necessary background ventilation of the terraces can be
ensured.

megawood cover strips oﬀers numerous advantages. Apart from a
sophisticated appearance, the closed form of the deck prevents losing
small pieces. The accurately ﬁtting natural rubber cover strips prevent
growth of plants from below, and dirt penetration below the deck is also
considerably reduced. Constructing this megawood® deck variant
requires more eﬀort in order to ensure suﬃcient ventilation from below
and behind the terrace deck. Closed decks are diﬀerent from open decks
in structure and in execution. The basic condition is an overall structure
on stilts with full surrounding ventilation. For this structure, the new
FIX STEP system provides the option to install various height
conﬁgurations of your terrace easily.

With the new FIX STEP system, we are the ﬁrst manufacturer to oﬀer you
a continuous and elaborate terrace system, from gravel bed to terrace
board. The system stands out because of its simple and fast installation.
Time-consuming work, e.g. drilling for screw connections, are a thing of
the past. Essential manoeuvres of the installation are done by hooking up
and engaging the system components. Conventional structures as open
or closed deck, roof terraces or installation on existing terrace covers
can be individually shown. Roof terraces in particular can be very easily
realized, due to the low weight of the system components and variable
height adjustment.

The megawood® COMPACT FIX system is an easily and quickly installed
visual protection kit. The visual protection proﬁles and the posts are not
brushed and available in the colours basalt grey and nut-marbled nature
brown and they are an excellent match for the various megawood®
terrace board colours.
The posts available for megawood® COMPACT FIX are rounded and
grooved on all sides with visual protection proﬁles and decorative post
caps. The components of the visual protection fence are simply inserted
into each other without screw connections.
With a bit of manual skill, the visual protection elements and the posts
can also be modiﬁed lengthwise. The megawood® COMPACT FIX system
