KEYNOTE SPEAKER
Brett Eastburn was born with a condition he calls Quadmembral Limbs Deficiency, which
means he has no arms and no legs. While in school, Brett played baseball, football and
basketball. He also became an accomplished swimmer. In junior high, he became a member
of the wrestling team. In high school, he wrestled on the varsity team.
In 1988, Brett took 4th place in the nation for wrestling in the Amateur Athletic Union.
Afterwards, he was made one of the high school varsity team captains. After graduating, he
earned a green belt in the martial arts. Brett is also a nationally recognized artist.
Brett began speaking professionally in 1990. He has done over 3,000 presentations
worldwide to over 1 million people. Brett and his wife, Chrisa, have owned and operated
their own company, called No Boundaries Inc., since the year 2000.
Brett is also a standup comedian and has appeared on the Bob and Tom show
He is currently working full-time as a motivational and inspirational speaker. He is also a
substitute teacher in his hometown area.

A SUSTAINABLE SYSTEM OF STAFF DEVELOPMENT FOR SERVING STUDENTS
WITH ASD: HOW TO GET THERE AND STAY THERE
This session will describe an innovative model of staff development which has been effective in
moving evidence-based practices into the classroom. Long-term sustainability of evidence-based
practices and a cohesive system of supports will be described

This presentation will cover information about Indiana Statewide Testing for the 2014-15 school

on statewide testing.

VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION
A comprehensive overview of Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) system and outline the recent
strategic plan that focuses on transition-aged youth with disabilities. The importance of key
partnerships and the organization’s vision for purposeful collaboration will be further explained.
And finally, a discussion of what this focus on transition-age youth means for those professionals
and special educators who support them.

MODELS FOR COLLABORATION BETWEEN SCHOOL DISTRICTS AND ABA
PROVIDERS
In this session, two different models for collaboration between Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
providers and school districts will be discussed, including key factors in achieving successful
collaboration and programming. Time will be provided for audience members to share their
stories of collaboration, including what did and did not work. The goal is to provide examples that
can be replicated in school districts across Indiana, and to facilitate positive outcomes for all
involved. An update on activities of the ABA task force will be provided also.
