The demand for Nature Play and the creation of play
spaces using natural elements, has become the new
standard.
As a public space manager or design
professional how do you create spaces that surpass
expectations, within the available budget? What is the
real benefit of nature play? How do you manage the
perceived (and real) risk while creating a space that is
stimulating? Will a nature play area create an ongoing
maintenance burden? These are questions and more that will
be discussed and answered during the 2 day workshop, Nature
Places and Spaces.
The purpose of these workshops is to engage industry in key
principles for scoping and developing a nature space suitable
for general public free access. Aimed at professionals and
landowners engaged in designing and managing public open
spaces.
You will walk away with knowledge about why nature places
and spaces are important to all of us; principles for scoping,
designing, constructing and ongoing management of a nature
place project. A work book for developing your project will
provide you with checklists and references for key
considerations, a resource list, case studies,
inspiration and sharing of ideas.
