Reminder everyone is to wear their id at all times on
campus. This is for campus safety. If you have a
broken ID card see Dr. Williams. Lost yours, go to
student store.
All sophomores are taking the CAHSEE test Tuesday
and Wednesday. Seniors who have not yet passed
also will be taking the test. All students must pass
the CAHSEE to earn a high school diploma in the
state of California. Grade 10 students, be sure you
are rested and ready for this very important
test. Food services will be providing your morning
meal to your testing room, to ensure all students eat
the morning of the test. If you are not sure where to
test, check the list outside the counseling
office. Teachers also will have a list on Monday
showing where all students will be testing. Good
luck!
Powder Puff Game, Friday 1-5 pm @ Jones Field
Make plans to attend and support the teams. This
should be a really fun event. All classes welcome!
Family Resource Night next Wednesday 2/4, let
your parents know. Spanish and English
presentations and information. Café/ Library 6-7:30
Create a bookmark! Come pick up a blank
bookmark in the library. Create a design in black &
white and include SPHS somewhere in the
design. Please submit your entries by Feb. 18, 2015

Friday, Jan 30th. at 1:15, Tuesday Feb, 3rd & Feb 4th
for CAHSEE testing all day.
CAHSEE is next week- All sophomores, and seniors
who have not yet passed, will be taking the CAHSEE
test on February 3 and 4. Test preparation courses
on Saturday, Jan. 31, from 8 am until
noon. Students will participate in two hours of
math, and two hours of English review. PLEASE SIGN
UP IN THE ASSISTANT PRINCIPALS OFFICE! Limited
space is available. Reserve your spot today!

Seniors: Jan 30th is this week! Do you have any
obligations? DO you have an ASB Package
obligation? It has to be paid by Jan. 30th. NO
EXCEPTIONS!
Seniors- If you have not ordered your Cap & Gown
you need to submit order to the Student Store
before the price goes up! Current Price $45 +
tax. Price goes up March 2nd to $55. If you came in
mid-term let student store know.
Grad night permission forms now in the C& C
Center. Trip payments accepted during break,
lunch, & after school on Wednesdays and Fridays
The Ag Museum is hosting an Agriculture Career
Fair Today from 4 – 7pm. Make plans to attend.
Maybe you will find a new career to investigate.
Excel passes, must be used during N period.
Students need to arrange with and get a pass from
the Library and College & Career Center before the
start of Excel period.

GOLF Team - Golf tryouts/practice starts this
week, 3:45-5:00 at Isbell Middle School, MondayThursday. You must be cleared to practice. If you
need a physical packet please stop by the athletics
office. If you are interested in playing but have not
yet signed up please stop by practice this week to
speak with Coach McWherter. If you are currently
playing a winter sport and are interested in playing

Swimmers: Conditioning continues Tuesday and
Thursday mornings 6 am - 7 am at the pool.
Athletic packet must be completed and verified by
Mr. Guzman to swim.
Swimmers who make team the cost is $170 for girls,
and $145 for boys. The money must be in by Jan.
30th.

Seniors FAFSA workshops Wed Jan 28th We will
have computers available for your use. You can
now complete your FAFSA online at fafsa.ed.gov. If
you need help come into the College & Career
Center or see your counselor.
Lake Casitas Water Adventure’s application for
employment must be submitted to the Water Park
Office by January 30th. be offered on February
22nd, March 29th, and April 26th.
