EXECUTIVE CHEF Weldon Sons INTERIM GENERAL MANAGER Lori Morelock FRONT OF HOUSE MANAGER Ranzie Valenzuela EVENTS DIRECTOR Larry Clinkscales CONTROLLER FROM THE PRESIDENT As we roll into February, you will see a lot more progress of our remodel. The board room is nearly finished and by the time you read this, we will have our ceiling and painting completed. I’m pleased to say it is coming along nicely. Our contractor, WWCI, has been amazing to work with. They’ve been innovative and professional, while juggling our schedule. Thank you to all those that have had meetings and events at the Club during this process. Your graciousness and understanding certainly helps as we know it has been a bit of an inconvenience at times for all of us. We are doing our best to capture the essence of the wonderful concept that Jason Treywn of Treywn Design planned for the remodel and I must say, it is awesome seeing it all come together. Last month’s PCB Talk, hosted by our very own Vice President, Mr. Frank Colatruglio was well attended and informative. The purpose of the talks is to provide an opportunity for our members to grow in knowledge while giving the membership a chance to network and socialize. If you would like to host a talk, feel free to give me a call or email [email protected] for more information. A big shoutout to Ben Stinson of Stinson’s for the beautiful new conference room table for our 10th floor administrative offices. If you know Ben, then you already know how great of a person he is and his company is such a great representation of the person that he is. We now have a reciprocal relationship with Rio Bravo Country Club for all of you golfers out there. In contrast to her sweet and friendly nature, she is fondly known by her nickname “Princess War” from the Spanish translation of her last name. Originally from Santa Ana in the southern part of El Salvador, Evelyn started in the work force as a Secretary for an Attorney and later became a Kindergarten teacher. She moved to Bakersfield six years ago with her son Alex who is now in his second year at UC Santa Barbara studying Chemical Engineering. Evelyn has been in our Housekeeping team for four years and when she’s not working, she enjoys going to the gym, the beauty salon, singing karaoke and taking care of her two robo-dwarf hamsters. She hopes one day to add a Golden Retriever or Husky to the family as well. Evelyn’s favorite holiday is Christmas, which she always spends cooking with her family. She can’t wait to see her son graduate from college and to meet her future grand-kids. Thanks to our hard-working Evelyn for all she does keeping the Petroleum Club of Bakersfield sparkly clean!
