It provides step-by-step instructions necessary for installing the OFSAA-FCUBS Interface components. Scope This manual provides a step-wise instruction to install the OFSAA-FCUBS Interface in an existing Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications Infrastructure hosted in OEL/RHEL 5.3 upto 5.10/ 6.0 and above - 64 bit - Oracle 11g R2 (11.2.0.2.0) environment. The supported web-servers are Tomcat 7.0.19, WebSphere 7.0.0.17 and WebLogic 10.3.5.0. Organization of the Manual The Installation Manual is organized into the following chapters. Pre Requisites section identifies the hardware and base software environment that is required for a successful installation & functioning of the Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications Infrastructure Solution. Installing the Application section details the steps to be followed during the installation. Post installation Activities section details the steps that are required to be performed after a successful installation of the OFSAA-FCUBS Interface. Conventions Used in this Manual References to sections or chapters in the manual are displayed in Italics. Screen names are displayed in the following manner: Introduction screen Options and buttons are displayed in Bold. Notes are displayed as follows: NOTE o It is important that the password should be 6 characters long. If you do not adhere to this pre-requisite, you will see a system message that reads Password must be at least 6 characters long. Installation Manual Hardware and Software Requirements and Specifications This section describes the various Operating System, Database, Web Server, and Web Application Server version and other variant details on which this release of the OFS FCUBS application has been qualified. Note OFS FCUBS application installation can be performed on both Virtual and Physical servers. The following table shows the minimum hardware and software requirements for running OFS FCUBS application. Office Tools MS Office 2007/ 2010/2013 Adobe Acrobat Reader 10 or above Screen Resolution 1024*768 or 1280*1024 Installation Manual Requirement Sub-Category Value OFSAAI is qualified on both OPEN LDAP 2.2.29+ and Oracle Internet Directory v - 11.1.1.3.0. However, it can be integrated with other directory services software like MS Active Directory. Directory Services Note: Configuration of Directory services software for OFSAAI installation is optional. For more information on configuration, see Infrastructure LDAP Configuration. Open LDAP needs to be installed on MS Windows Server machine only. This utility can also be obtained separately by contacting Oracle Support. Though the system environment verification is an integral and automated part of the installation of this software product, Oracle strongly recommends running this utility prior to beginning the installation as part of your organization’s "Installation Readiness Verification Process". Note For more details on download and usage of this utility, see Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications Infras Environment Check Utility Guide given in the Related Documents section. Installation Manual Installer and Installation Prerequisites Table 3–1 Mentions the list of prerequisites required before beginning the installation for OFS FCUBS application. The Installer/ EnvCheck utility will notify you if any requirements are not met. Note: Required only in GUI mode. User to have 755 permission on the .profile file Java Settings PATH in .profile to be set to include the Java Runtime Environment absolute path. Note: Ensure the absolute path to JRE/bin is set at the beginning of PATH variable. For example, PATH=/usr/java/jre1.6/bin:$ORACLE_HOME/bin:$PATH Oracle Database Settings TNS_ADMIN to be set in .profile pointing to appropriate tnsnames.ora file ORACLE_HOME to be set in .profile pointing to appropriate Oracle Client installation PATH in .profile to be set to include appropriate $ORACLE_HOME/bin path ARBORPATH, ESSBASEPATH, HYPERION_HOME to be set in the .profile pointing to an appropriate Oracle Essbase Client installation. Note: These paths need to be specified only if you have set OLAP_SERVER_IMPLEMENTATION =1 in OFSAAIInstallConfig.xml file. (1 indicates OLAP implementation is enabled, that is, if you use Oracle Essbase as the multi-dimensional database for analytical processing.) OS/ File System Settings File Descriptor Settings Greater than 15000 Total Number of Process Settings Greater than 4096 JDBC Driver Oracle JDBC Thin Driver v3.0 exists in the path identified for ABS_DRIVER_PATH of OFSAAIInstallConfig.xml Port Settings Default port numbers to be enabled on the system are 6500, 6501, 6505, 6507, 6509, 6510, 6666, 9999, and 10101. Installation Manual Staging Area/ Metadata Repository A directory to hold the application metadata artifacts and additionally act as staging area. The directory should exist on the same system as the OFSAA Infrastructure (can be on different mount). User to have 777 permission on this folder. Database Settings Database Instance Settings NLS_CHARACTERSET to be AL32UTF8 NLS_LENGTH_SEMANTICS to be BYTE OPEN CURSORS limit to be greater than 1000 Minimum 500MB quota on DEFAULT TABLESPACE for CONFIG user. Database User/ Schema One DB User identified for holding configuration and metadata repository. Usually referred to as CONFIG user/ schema Optionally two DB Users identified for holding the Sample App data model/ data (referred as ATOMIC user/ schema) and Sandbox schema if you decide to install the Sample App. Note: The required privileges need to be granted to these DB schemas by executing privileges_atomic_user.sql and privileges_config_user.sql files appropriately, present inside the OFSAAI_73300 folder. Web Server WebSphere/ WebLogic WebSphere profile (see Creation of New Profile in WebSphere or WebLogic domain (see Creating Domain in WebLogic Server) should have been created. You will be prompted to enter the WebSphere installation path or WebLogic domain home directory during OFSAAI installation. Installation Manual Pre-Requisites The installation process requires certain actions to be performed prior to starting the interface installation. Ensure that these requirements are met before starting the installation. Data Integration Hub v8.0.0.0.0(DIH) should be installed and enabled in the target OFSAAI environment as the interface leverages features of DIH. Oracle Data Integrator Settings should be completed using “Settings” option in DIH before installing the interface. Refer to the DIH user manual for more details. A source named FCUBS_STAGE_SRC is defined in DIH using the “Source Setup” option and connection details of FCUBS schema details are provided. Refer to DIH User manual for more details. Refresh all the Application Data Interfaces using the “Refresh Adi” option in DIH. Refresh the data models in ODI using the “Refresh Target DataStores” option in DIH Refer to DIH user manual to obtain detailed information for any of the steps mentioned above. Installation Manual Installing Oracle Financial Services Application & FCUBS Interface(v8.0.0.0.0) Analytical Follow the below procedure to install the OFSAA and FCUBS Interface. Navigate to installation folder and ensure the file permissions are set up as below chmod 755 * Specifies the log file path and name in the log4j.xml. Update the “value” attribute marked in the following figure Log4j.xml file configuration The OFSAA-FCUBS interface installer can be installed in both GUI and silent mode. For executing the installer in silent mode, refer to silent installation section in the document. For running in GUI mode, execute the following command under installer directory. ./Setup.sh GUI Refer to the below steps for more details. Installation Manual Step 1 To begin Oracle Financial Services Analytical Application - FCUBS Interface product installation, execute Setup.sh. Installation Splash Screen Installation Manual Step 2 Upon invoking the installer, the Introduction screen will display the pre-requisites for installation. Ensure that the pre-requisites are satisfied before you proceed. Introduction Screen Step 3 Choose the log mode for this installer. In case, Debug is selected, the Passwords will be printed in the Log File. Log Mode Option Screen Installation Manual Step 4 This panel seeks information existing infodom to be used for apps installtion. Choose the desired option. Pre Setup Information Screen – Infodom type Click Next to continue. Step 5 Review the setting in the pre-installation summary panel Pre Installation Summary Installation Manual Step 6 Select “Yes” in order to begin the installation process. Pre Installation Summary Step 7 Refer to the log file created in the path mentioned in log4j.xml for any error messages. Installation Complete Installation Manual Silent Installation Silent installation is achieved through a properties file [Silent.props] that must be updated with proper values, before attempting to install using the silent mode. How to install in Silent Mode - The installer folder contains a template file “Silent.template” Create a copy of this file and rename the copy as “Silent.props” Edit the file “Silent.props” and specify the parameters as per the requirements On the UNIX Command prompt, execute the following command o “Setup.sh SILENT” - Refer to the console log [or the file preinstall.log] for any error messages . Ensure all the Source Data Interfaces and Connectors are appearing in DIH as expected. Publish the connectors to target ODI environment to facilitate data movement between the 2 systems. Refer to the DIH user manual for more details. The Oracle Financial Services FCUBS interface is now ready to be used. If you encounter any problems during set up, contact OFSAA Support at Oracle Support.
