China, 31 August - 18 September 2014

The seminar which was organized by the China-Europe Vocational Training Centre
was co-sponsered by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China
and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development.

The main objective of the seminar was to give to the participants a deeper insight
of the industrialisation policy of China through the creation of special
economic/industrial development zones.

The seminar covered issues such as Economic Development in Africa: Issues,
challenges and opportunities, Industrial development and policy in Africa,
Fostering intra-African trade, Catalysing investment for transformative growth in
Africa, Building productive capacities for development, South-south cooperation
and Growth and employment creation.
