Rock. M r . Molyneux claimed t h a t Surrey cannot spend money l e g a l l y outside of
Surrey. He f e l t that t h e money should be spent i n Surrey, He also claimed
t h a t h i s Doctor could not put him i n t h e white Rock Hospital, even though he
l i v e d i n t h e area. Mr. Molyneux was advised t h a t t h e matter would be considered
later i n the meeting by t h e Council,
The matter was discussed later i n t h e meeting when a l l members w e r e present,

be set up of the Hospital Liaison Cormnittee t o j-nclude Langley Hospital, and
t h e Royal Colwnbian Hospital r e m s e n t a t i v e s t o discuss t h e matter of hospitals.

Mayor Douglass said he w a s sorry t h a t the Mural had not been ready f o r
the Official Owning, but h e took pleasure i n n m presenting the Mural t o the
Municipality. He s t a t e d t h a t Alderman Lee had worked on t h i s matter with the
Architects, and as Surrey was an a g r i c u l t u r a l cammunity, the plaque remxsented
a g r i c u l t u r e i n t h e form of f r u i t trees. He s t a t e d that t h e r e had always been
co-operation w i t h Surrey, and he looked forward t o manv m o r e years of cooperation, The Mural was accepted with thanks by t h e Reeve,

t h a t they had met with him and had been advised by the Minister t h a t he was
endeavouring t o get t o get the Nicanekl and Serpentine drainage problem
covered by ARDA, He s t a t e d that there are new %70 c l a s s i f i c a t i o n s of projects
under PRDA, and i f we obtain Classification A, 50% of the cost is paid by
the Provincial Government, t h e Ihking C&ssion,
and the Municipality, and
