AP Capstone is an innovative diploma program that provides students with an
opportunity to engage in rigorous scholarly practice of the core academic skills
necessary for successful college completion.
AP Capstone is built on the foundation of two courses — AP Seminar and AP
Research — and is designed to complement and enhance the in-depth, disciplinespecific study provided through AP courses. It cultivates curious, independent, and
collaborative scholars and prepares them to make logical, evidence-based
decisions.
Students must take AP Seminar and AP Research, plus 4 additional AP courses of
their choice in order to earn the AP Capstone Diploma. This program begins in 9th
grade with AP Human Geography. The Capstone Diploma is a unique way for
students to distinguish themselves to Colleges and Universities.
Dual Enrollment

Registration & Course Selection
The Coral Glades Guidance staff wiil be visiting the Middle
school campuses to officially register the 8th graders:
Coral Springs Middle: 2/17
Sawgrass Springs Middle: 2/18 & 2/19
Each student must bring the following:
*Completed Course Card signed by parent
*Required registration forms, photocopy of 2 proofs of residency
(see registration form for details)
In addition to completing the course card, students MUST
complete course requests via virtual counselor as well.
Guidance Counselors at the middle school will be given the
details.
