Hello fellow elk enthusiast and conservationists,
I hope this letter finds you well and eager to have a great time with the Elk Country Chapter at this year’s Banquet! Our
committee has been working very hard to ensure you have a very memorable evening and we would like to show you a “sneak
peak” as to what we have been up to! We have some new raffles and high quality merchandise featured in our live and silent
auctions and our various raffles that we are very proud of and hope that you
will enjoy!
First off is our KECA 2015 Collector’s Banquet Rifle! The Alliance has
teamed up with the folks at Henry Rifles and Baron’s Engraving to bring to
you this embellished USA Made Henry Big Boy .44 Magnum! Truly a one
of a kind and by far our best Banquet Rifle yet!
New for this year, is the Elk Calf
“Round Up” raffle. The Alliance and
our friends at the Pennsylvania Game
Commission have offered this once in
a life time opportunity to attend an
outing with PGC elk biologist, Jeremy
Banfield, into the field to have the
potential of capturing and collaring an
elk calf on Saturday, June 13th,
2015! This Raffle is progressive in nature, meaning the winner on banquet
night will be then entered into the final drawing for 6 winners. You can prebuy these tickets, 1 for $10 and 3 for $20, with your banquet application for a chance to win this up close and personal elk
experience!
Last, but definitely not least, is a powder horn hand crafted
especially for the Elk Country Chapter by Mr. Paul King!
This one of a kind item is engraved with a map of PA Elk
Country and a bugling bull! The picture to the right will give
you a taste of what you will see on Banquet night! We hope
you are excited about it as we are! We have too many great
items to mention, but a sunset cruise and a Lake Erie
fishing charter with Capt. Fritz Curtze are also on the
auction block, and our ever-popular gun safe raffle! You
won’t want to miss out!
Conservation education continues to be our #1 mission priority. In 2014, we welcomed nearly 30,000 students and guests who
attended KECA’s structured conservation programs. We welcomed our 1,000,000th guest at the Elk Country Visitor Center.
Habitat enhancement is our next highest priority. In 2014, we improved nearly 600 acres of habitat for elk and other wildlife.
In the five years since its inception, KECA has enhanced nearly 2,000 acres across elk country. As a KECA member, you
should be very proud you have contributed to these endeavors through your generous support!
The rest you’re going to have to wait until banquet night to see! The Elk Country Chapter Committee and I are looking forward
to spending a very memorable, enjoyable, and high energy evening supporting and celebrating all that we do for PA Elk
