available through the Chester County Library System.
Resources for children and adults include online databases, books
and audiobooks, magazines, reference help, music,
business information, PC use, wireless Internet access, DVDs /
Blu-ray, and programs for all ages.

Online Resources:
A How-to Guide
BookFlix is an online literacy resource designed
for children in grades pre-K through 3 that pairs
video storybooks with related nonfiction books.
This resource helps early readers develop and
practice essential listening and reading skills and introduces them
to a world of knowledge and exploration.
Bookflix is made available by POWER Library, a consortium of
Pennsylvania libraries. In order to access this resource at home,
you must log onto the Chester County Library system or access it
from the Elk Ridge Destiny homepage.
You will be required to enter your Chester County Library card
number to access the resource.
The Oxford Area School District subscribes to
several resources that are accessible to you at home.
This brochure offers a brief explanation of the resources
available to our Elk Ridge students along with the
necessary log-in information.

Our library has a collection of ebooks that are accessible on any
computer with Internet access.
Follow these steps to view our ebook collection:
Students must enter a username (ID) and password when
accessing World Book at home:
ID: oxford1
password: oxford

Your student was given a user name and password. The
format for the username is the first 3 letters of the first name
+ the first 3 letters of the last name + the last 2 digits of the
graduation year, e.g., Mary Smith who graduates in 2024,
would be “marsmi24”. The password is the first letter of the
first name + the first letter of the last name + the last 4 digits
of the student’s OASD ID number, e.g., “ms7543”.
Elk Ridge students can get additional practice for their Everyday
Math Program using Everyday Math’s eSuite. The activities
coordinate and reinforce the material that the students learn in
the classroom.
Each student has a unique username and password that is
provided by the classroom teacher.
Library Catalog
Elk Ridge students use Study Island to advance their reading
and math skills. Students can practice at home with their
school log in. Go to this site:

OASD subscribes to World Book Online. Our students have
access to World Book Kids, World Book Student, World Book
Advanced, World Book Discover, and World Book Hallazgos (Spanish
language). This online encyclopedia provides multimedia
content as well as text, and includes a “text to speech” feature.

research skills for every learner.
Our students currently have access to the Animals, Earth &
Space, Biographies and Social Studies modules.
