A message from the Burnaby Board of Education February 3, 2015 The Burnaby Board of Education is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Gina Niccoli-Moen as the district’s new Superintendent of Schools and Chief Executive Officer, effective February 1. Niccoli-Moen has been with the school district for the past 24 years in increasingly senior roles. She has most recently served as Deputy Superintendent of Schools for the past 2 years. “In Gina, we have an exceptional educational leader who is committed to Burnaby and passionate about public education”, says Board Chair, Ron Burton. “Throughout her career, she has brought innovative programs, strong partnerships and inspired leadership to the district.” “It is truly an honour to work in such a progressive organization that values diversity, inclusion and inspiring excellence in every learner”, says Niccoli-Moen. “I thank the Burnaby Board of Education for their confidence and trust in me”.
