The YAGP is an annual international student ballet competition open to dance students 8-19 years old. We’re proud of you, Timothy! Former Fairbanks Raven student Quinn Evenson gets to experience his first World Junior Curling Championships! Quinn and his teammates on Minnesota 2 captured the men’s title Saturday on the U.S. Junior National Curling Championships in Devils Lake, North Dakota. They will represent the U.S. at the 2015 World Junior Championships in Tallinn, Estonia, February 28-March 8. Way to go, Quinn! All three teams qualified to attend the State Competition! Way to go!! The first part will include what students need to be college and career ready when they graduate from high school. Juneau Office ART activity: Quilting with Fractions and symmetry Friday, February 13 & 20 at 3:15-4:30pm Theresa will lead this two-part activity for students in grades 3-12 using a Project ARTiculate kit! Students will learn about the history of quilt making. They then cut shapes from squares using equivalent fractions and design the center and border squares using vertical, horizontal and diagonal symmetry. Family Literacy Engagement Workshop Tuesday, February 17 at 6-7:30pm Families of Kindergarteners are invited to come and discover what your students need to learn and do to build reading skills. Theresa and Joan will model best practices for instruction that will spark your children’s interest in reading.
