Towe wanted to do something
kind and loving for someone
special in our community for
Valentine’s Day. So these ladies
put their heads (and hearts)
together and came up with the
idea to do something nice for
(several) someone special. Did I
say that right? Well, if I didn’t,
these ladies sure do have it right.
They got to work and put
together care packages inside of
cute little Valentine boxes to give
to the patients at our very

As we reflect on our
goals for 2015, let us
remember what is
ultimately important –
RELATIONSHIPS.
Coincidentally, February
sends a strong reminder
that relationships are at
the core of humanity. As
we begin to fulfill our
2015 goals, let us be
intentional about
building and maintaining
those important
relationships in our lives.
After all, that was the
purpose behind our
creation. Finally, as our
extended family, we look
forward to forging and
maintaining wonderful
relationships with each
one of you.

Our first Community Food Bank was a
success! We collected quite a bit of
food from our resident family members!
Thank you to all for your generous
donations!

music! Recently her vision became
poor and she had to give it up. She felt
God impress her to try to play by ear
again. She gave it a try and she said
The Lord blessed her talent to play by
ear far better than before.

Esther & Chester
Esther in her Early Years
Born on April 21, 1928, Esther came
into this world with her very own best
friend, a twin brother named Chester.
Esther (and Chester) was born in
Saylorsburg, PA and grew up with her
other brother Bill and her sister Betty.
Upon graduating from high school she
went to work at a hosiery mill during
WWII. In 1964, she started her new job
as an admissions clerk at the Kettering
Medical Center in Kettering, OH and
eventually became the head of that
department and stayed with that
position for a number of years. During
this time in her life, one would find her
entrepreneurial skills expanding with
knitting afghans and making cloth
crafts to sell to supplement her
income. She and her sister Betty also
owned and operated two health food
stores all while raising her three
daughters and son on her own.
Esther credits God for helping her raise
her children and provide for their
needs. She now has seven
grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren. This is one of her
greatest blessings and
accomplishments in her life. Esther
enjoyed playing the trumpet, ice
skating and swimming. She knitted
Barbie clothes for her daughters’
Barbies too. Each summer she would
take her children to “The Shore” to
have some family time with them.
