REMINDER: Mardi Gras holidays will be Monday through Friday, February 16th-20th. Students
will return to school Monday, February 23rd.
SPEAKERS WEEK for students in K-8th grades will be held during the school day February 9th-12th.
Various speakers will address topics of interest for each grade level.
SWEET DAY: As a special treat for the students we will have a "Sweet Day " on Friday,
February 13. Students will be allowed to purchase sweets after lunch only.
PURPLE/GREEN/GOLD DAY : As another spirit day all students will be allowed to have a non-uniform day
Friday, February 13. The theme for this day is “Mardi Gras Day." Students will be allowed to wear clothing that is
purple, green or gold along with jeans and tennis shoes. Please help us by making sure that whatever your child
wears is appropriate for school.
MATH-A-THON NEWS: Thanks to all students who participated in the St. Jude Math-athon. 74 of our students completed the Funbooks and raised $4,016.00 for the children of St.
Jude! Thanks to all for your generosity.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION
REGISTRATION FOR NEW STUDENTS: Will be held Monday, February 23, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon in the
Parish Center. Parents must bring copies of birth certificate, baptismal certificate, immunization record, social security
number, and driver's license as proof of residence if living in St. Christopher Parish. Also, a check for registration must
accompany registration (PK3-7th Grade: $165.00 for one child; additional children $150.00 each; 6-week-olds through
2-year-olds: $200/child). New students for grades K-7th need to also submit prior report card and copy of evaluation (if
applicable).
TUITION PAYMENT FOR 2015/2016 SCHOOL YEAR: If you wish to make a tuition loan for 2015/16, which will be
with Metairie Bank, indicate that on the form that you will receive with your registration form. This year Metairie Bank will
mail the “Bank Activator” to your home on April 6, 2015. This “Bank Activator” must be verified for correct information,
signed and returned to the school office by Monday, April 13, 2015. A $15.00 late charge will be assessed if the “bank
activator” is not returned to the school office by Monday, April 13, 2015.
If you have not made a tuition loan with Metairie Bank previously, you must come to the school office to sign the bank loan
papers the week of April 13-17, anytime from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. It will take only a few moments to complete and
sign the loan papers. A $15.00 late charge will be assessed if you sign the loan papers after April 17, 2015. If the loan is
defaulted, a $250 default charge will be assessed by SCS.
Home and School Club News
2015-2016 Home & School Club Officer Nomination Request Form is posted on
Edline in the Home & School Club Folder, under “General Info” and on the St.
Christopher School web page; please check it out. The corresponding secretary
position will be open for next year.
Blue & White Night is scheduled for March 21, 2015 in the SCS Gym.

Geography Bee! Also, thanks to the following students who participated: Dylan Blady,
Joey Brue, Kayl Falgout, Olivia Guerra, Hunter Haro, Katie Heller, Jose Perez, Tommy
Weir and Bryceton White.
CHRISTOLETTE NEWS: Congratulations to the Christolettes for a great job at state
competition this past weekend. They won the following awards:
Jazz: 2nd in Division; 5th in State; Pom: 4th in Division; and Novelty: 3rd in Division; 4th in
State. Congratulations girls and coaches- Kim Klapatch, Brittany Gradwohl, and Ashley
Castillo.
NINE-WEEKS TESTS: For the 3rd quarter will be held March 10-13. Please mark your
calendars.
FATHER AND SON PROGRAM: This program explores God’s special gift of human fertility
and the wonder of growing up and becoming a man. It is for 11- 14 year old boys (must be
accompanied by a parent or guardian). It will be held Friday, February 27, 2015, from 7:00
until 9:00 p.m. at Knights of Columbus, St. Dominic Council, 6254 Vicksburg Street, New
Orleans. Registration is $25.00. Registration forms are in the school office.
MOTHER AND DAUGHTER PROGRAM: This program explores God’s special gift of human
fertility and the wonder of growing up and becoming a woman. It is for 10 – 12 year old girls
(must be accompanied by a parent or guardian). It will be held Sunday, April 6, 2014, from 2:00
