Jaclyn Kostelac, DDS `04 - Althoff Catholic High School

Most Meaningful Professional Accomplishments
“My greatest accomplishment thus far has been becoming a dentist
and gaining residency into an orthodontic program. Since age 11, my
dream was to become an orthodontist. The orthodontist had such a
profound impact on my confidence through the transformation of my
smile, which inspired me to pursue the same career. I am proud to say
I am working to complete my dream and look forward to influencing
my patients' lives in the same positive manner. After obtaining a
Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Illinois, I continued my
education at SIUE to obtain a Master of Science degree in
Neurobiology. Upon completion, I was fortunate to gain acceptance
into dental school at the University of Southern California where I
received my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. The four years of dental
school were some of the hardest yet most rewarding years of my life.
In the fourth year of dental school, I received the good news I had
been waiting for the past 16 years, which was being accepted into an
orthodontic program. I am currently completing my orthodontic
residency at Saint Louis University where I will also obtain a second
Master's degree.”
Fondest High School Memory
“Some of my fondest memories at Althoff include: being part of the
student council, valedictorian, going to sporting events, and making
life-long friends with students and faculty.”
