ATTENDANCE REMINDER
If your teen has received a scholarship for the City of
St. Petersburg’s Out of School Time (OST) Program, each
participant must comply with the following performance
measures and minimum service levels to maintain a
scholarship:
● Participants enrolled in the scholarship program must
attend a minimum of one hour per day and may not
be absent for more than five (5) days per calendar
month.
● All participants are required to complete any program
measuring tool required by the grant funder.
● We reserve the right to remove a participant due to
behavioral issues.
● Field trip eligibility is determined by participant’s
behavior and attendance.
● Participants are required to participate in enrichment
programs throughout the year, i.e., Teen Outreach
Program (T.O.P.), teacher enrichment activities,
teacher tutoring, guest speakers, educational
programs, community service projects, etc.
Before School and/or After School Program
● Participants absent for more than five (5) consecutive
days with no contact from the parent/guardian will be
removed from the scholarship program.
● Priority summer registration is contingent on
participant attendance.

TASCO VALENTINE’S SEMIFORMAL DANCE
On Saturday, February 14, TASCO Teen Programs will
host their annual Valentine’s Dance celebration at J.W.
Cate Recreation Center (5801 22nd Avenue North), 7:00
– 11:00pm. The night includes, video games, best
dressed contest, photo booth, message board, musical
performances, and more. Some of these items have an
additional cost ranging from $1.00 - $3.00. Dress to
impress as this event is semiformal, which means NO
JEANS OR SHORTS. A “Best Dressed” contest with prizes
will be held. Tickets for the dance are $10, includes
dinner, and can be purchased directly at the recreation
center. Teens need a ticket to attend. For more

TGFH DAY
On Monday, February 16, public schools are closed. We
will have a full day of camp from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Breakfast and lunch are not provided; campers must
bring a nonrefrigerated lunch. We will provide a healthy
snack.
TUTORING PROGRAM
Tutoring is an intricate piece of teen programs throughout
our city programs. We will continue to strive for academic
excellence by offering free tutoring to all teen participants
in the After School Teen Camp. Parents are encouraged to
speak with teachers about their teen’s school challenges.
This is a great way to help the teachers better understand
your teen’s individual needs.
