about the program
Gathering STEAM
............................
Since 1977, Awakening Seed School has
provided a quality educational program for
children in the Phoenix area, promoting
creativity, innovation and healthy living.
Honoring the Seed’s long history of
supporting the creative arts, the Seed
Summer Art Camp offers as this year’s
theme, Gathering STEAM, a six-week
immersion into science, technology
engineering and mathematics through the
arts. Each week’s art focus will integrate
one or more of the STEM disciplines. Every
student attending the summer program will
receive a commemorative t-shirt. Our
annual mid-summer food drive for the
Tanner Chapel food pantry is our summer
community service project. The Seed
Summer Art Camp will conclude with the
25th Annual Way-Off Broadway production
by the 3rd-6th graders.

combine to make unbelievable
patterns. (S, T, A, M)

on the rise. (S, T, A)
WEEK 4 • June 29-July 3
Water Ways
During this short week when we
celebrate Independence Day, topics
like erosion and aerodynamics will
come to life. Boat construction and
lots of outdoor experimentation in the
sand circle will make this an enjoyable,
stimulating week. (S, E, A) Friday.
WEEK 5 • July 6-10
Tinker Thinkers
Small hands will be busy tinkering with
small objects and big ideas this week.
