BUY A SMART IRRIGATION CONTROLLER
AT A DISCOUNTED PRICE: JUST $50
Learn about water conservation and Valley water supplies at the SRP Water Conservation
Expo. The event takes place March 7 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the SRP PERA Club
(1 E. Continental Drive, Tempe).
At the expo, you can purchase a smart irrigation controller
for $50 plus tax (retail value $314.15). Smart controllers use
weather data to regulate your landscape watering schedule,
which can reduce household water use by as much as 25%.
SRP has partnered with Ewing Irrigation to provide this
special price on a professional-series Rain Bird ESP-SMTe
four-station smart irrigation controller (expandable to 22 stations). The discount is limited
to the first 800 SRP power and water customers (one per household) who register for and
attend the expo.
Additional three-station expansion modules will be available for the smart controller at
the discounted price of $15 plus tax (retail value $53.55; limit three per household).
Customers who attend also will receive a water-saving Niagara showerhead
(retail value $14.99; one per household while supplies last).

YOU ASKED, WE LISTENED: NEW
‘FRIENDLY CREDIT’ HOURS
As of Feb. 1, our Friendly Credit hours are 8 p.m.–8 a.m. If your meter runs out
of energy credit, your power will stay on during these hours.
Credit must be loaded to the meter the following day before 8 a.m. Any energy
used during Friendly Credit hours will be charged at the meter and recovered in
full the next time credit is loaded to the meter.
MAJOR MILESTONE FOR SRP:
1 MILLION CUSTOMERS
SRP is the oldest multipurpose federal reclamation
project in the United States. We have been
serving the communities in central Arizona since
1903, nearly 10 years before Arizona became
the 48th state.
Our response to growth and commitment to
progress grew our customer base from
100,000 in November 1960 to 500,000 in
January 1988.
A new milestone was reached in December 2014
when we signed up our 1,000,000th customer.
The lucky distinction goes to Travis Binder, who
received a gift basket of energy-efficient products
as a token of our appreciation.
Travis, SRP’s one millionth customer, with
his girlfriend, Elyssa
Delivering reliable and affordable power is
important to us, and we will continue working hard to provide value to all our customers.
Thank you for the opportunity to serve you.
M-POWER DISPLAY
UNIT TIP
Did you know that leaving your
M-Power smart card in the display
unit will
cause its
batteries
to run
low?
After you
purchase power on your smart card,
you must insert the card in the
display card slot to load the credit to
the meter. As soon as you insert the
smart card, the message on the unit
will change to “Please Wait,
Processing Card.” When you see the
message “Card Processed,” remove
the smart card and store it in the card
envelope provided. These steps will
help you conserve the display unit’s
battery power.
