YOU ASKED, WE LISTENED: NEW ‘FRIENDLY CREDIT’ HOURS As of Feb. 1, our Friendly Credit hours are 8 p.m.–8 a.m. If your meter runs out of energy credit, your power will stay on during these hours. Credit must be loaded to the meter the following day before 8 a.m. Any energy used during Friendly Credit hours will be charged at the meter and recovered in full the next time credit is loaded to the meter. After you purchase power on your smart card, you must insert the card in the display card slot to load the credit to the meter. As soon as you insert the smart card, the message on the unit will change to “Please Wait, Processing Card.” When you see the message “Card Processed,” remove the smart card and store it in the card envelope provided. These steps will help you conserve the display unit’s battery power.
