Applications are invited for purely temporary posts of Senior Research Fellow (1 no.) in a purely
temporary time bound research project entitled ‘Thermocouple temperature measurement and
thermal modelling of electron beam welding of materials of DAE interest (MWD)’ under Dr Gour
Gopal Roy, Department of Metallurgical & Materials Engineering, IIT Kharagpur.
Qualification: M.Tech. in Metallurgy/Chemical/Mechanical Engg. with two years research experience
and minimum (65% marks), or CGPA 7/10.

ATREE Summer School on Water and Society
15–27 June 2015, ATREE, Bengaluru
Ashoka Trust for Research in Ecology and the
Environment (ATREE), Bengaluru, is conducting a
Summer School on Water and Society. The course
offers a unique opportunity for post-Masters students
working on water problems from any discipline, to
develop an interdisciplinary understanding of water
problems. The course will help students understand
the multiple concerns driving water policy and the
fundamentals of hydrology, water quality and social
science analysis. Students will learn how to formulate
socially relevant research questions, design research
projects and work in inter-disciplinary teams.
Audience:
M.Tech./M.Sc./M.Phil./M.A.
graduates
interested in pursuing research and early Ph.D.
students from India.
Fee: There will be no fee for this course, as it is
supported by IDRC Canada. ATREE will cover 2nd
class AC train fare and boarding and lodging for twenty
students from anywhere in India.
