Pre-Baptismal Classes: As the primary educators of
their child, the parents/guardians and godparents have
the most important influence on the faith development
of children and parishes must provide catechesis for
them before their child is baptized. Notre Dame de la
Mer Parish offers six Baptism Preparation Classes
throughout the year.
It is important for the expectant parents/
guardians to arrange to attend a session well before
the birth and Baptism of the child. Contact the parish
offices for more information. The next class is
scheduled for Saturday, March 21 from 9:30 to
11:00 AM.
Funerals: To be arranged with a priest and funeral
director.
Sacrament of the Sick: Anytime
Marriage: Arrangements should be made one year in
advance and prior to making reception plans.

Parish Activities
When Jesus walked on the face of this earth, what was he
concerned about? Perhaps today’s gospel gives us an answer. Jesus
didn’t necessarily come to heal the sick and drive out demons.
Matthew’s Gospel (the Sermon on the Mount best describes his
mission. “Seek you first the kingdom of God and his righteousness,

and all these things will be given to you as well.” (Matthew 6:33). In
other words, Jesus came to proclaim the Good News of the kingdom

Get Involved
2015 World Meeting of Families
Many local families and
individuals have inquired about how they
can get involved with the WMF2015 in
Philadelphia next September. More
information on preparing as a family,
volunteering, and/or hosting visitors from abroad may be
found at the official website for the event
www.worldmeeting2015.org. The site also allows you to
register to participate in the many conferences offered.
On Sunday March 1, 2015, at the request of Bishop
Sullivan, the Camden Diocese will conduct its second
annual food drive throughout the diocese, with a goal of
collecting 100,000 pounds of food to be donated to food
pantries in our area.
As part of our “Parish Lenten Sacrifice” we will be
participating in this effort to collect food for those in need.
Most importantly, the diocese has agreed that any food we
collect will be donated to Lazarus House, emergency food
pantry to feed those in need throughout the Wildwoods.
On Ash Wednesday February 18, and at the Masses during
the weekend of February 21-22 we will distribute paper
shopping bags for you to place food in the bags and bring
them to Mass on Sunday March 1, (or Saturday February
28). All food donations will be weighed and go towards the
goal of the diocese.
Pass it on!
KINDNESS IS LIKE a snowball that’s rolling
down a hill. Each unselfish act or word is
another snowflake that greets the
others...creating something much larger
than itself in the process.
