This can be a particular problem in patients who will be receiving an advanced technology IOL. Session will include a comparison of current I-9 and future 1-10 coding, along with group discussion on ways to leverage templates and EHRs to ensure coding success. Presenter will share personal experience with dual coding in preparation for the conversion including time studies for applying 1-10 codes. Finally, time will be spent discussing training ideas to ensure your entire office can answer I-10 questions and appeal claim denials. 2Q: Blue Collar Billing & Coding: The Work Smarter Not Harder Approach (43346-PM), Christopher Borgman This course will review the 99000 and 92000 codes from an optometric-based practical perspective, and will include examples and a template of how to efficiently, and accurately choose codes correctly. This course will cover the benefits of cataract surgery alone and in combination with Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS) or filtration surgery for your patients with cataracts and glaucoma.
