RICHARD STOCKTON COLLEGE OF NEW JERSEY William J. Hughes Center for Public Policy and the Southern Regional Institute and ETTC (SRI&ETTC) iCivics.org Announces the availability of Professional Development Workshops to support the Integration of Civics Education into the K-12 Classroom The SRI&ETTC at Stockton College will offer full-day workshops AT NO COST to participating teachers between March and August 2015 to introduce the resources found at iCivics.org and provide teachers with opportunities to collaborate on the development of classroom activities and instructional ideas that support civics education. iCivics envisions a nation where all young Americans are prepared for active and intelligent citizenship. To support this vision, iCivics empowers teachers with effective and engaging resources to develop the next generation of citizens. iCivics is a non-profit organization dedicated to reinvigorating civic learning through interactive and engaging learning resources. Founded and led by Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, iCivics provides students with the tools they need for active participation and democratic action, and teachers with the materials and support to achieve this. Our free resources include print-and-go lesson plans, award-winning games, and digital activities. All Sessions will be held at the SRI&ETTC, 10 W.
