Greetings Comrades,
Hello Again Everyone,
Hello Ladies of Post 2150,
We just returned from
Austin, our VOD winner
Nadine Marshall finished 9th
in the State. There were
over 200 entrants statewide.
Nadine was awarded a
$3,000.00 scholarship.
Congratulations to Nadine.
The new year has
already started in a
hurry. I would like to
thank all of the Men’s
Auxiliary Members who
attended last month’s
meeting. Coming up in
the next few months we
will be having
nominations for the
officers for 2015-16. So
start thinking about
what position you would
be interested in filling.
The Super Bowl Party
was a big success once
again. I hope everyone
who attended had a
great time.
We have a District
Meeting in Denton on
2/8 . If anyone is
interested in attending.
Please contact Larry
Tunnel or myself for
more details.
We have many
activities coming up at
the post in the coming
months. All of the
upcoming events will be
posted on the large
white board in the post .
Stop in and take a look
at all of the upcoming
activities for the month.
February is upon us and Love
is in the air.
We will have our annual
Valentine Dinner on Friday,
Feb 13th.
We will also be selling candy
bouquets, with the proceeds
this time going to help with
the purchase of a service dog
for a child with type 1
diabetes.
Things will be ramping up for
elections this spring, please
let one of your officers know
if you or someone that you
know would be interested in
holding a chair for the
upcoming 2015-2016
year. I want to personally
thank you all for helping us
achieve our membership goal
of 100%.
There are still a few out that
need to pay their annual
dues, we need those as soon
as possible please.
We don't have a lot going on
for Feb, but March will start
things rolling again.
March 14th will be our annual
Casino night, pre-register or
sponsor a table if you wish.
Until next time, as always
thank each and everyone of
you for helping us support
those that
have given or are giving their
lives and time to defending
our freedom.
The Post Super bowl party
was a huge success, there
was standing room only.
Thanks to all of the
volunteers that brought
food and thanks to Dale,
Mike, and Todd for cooking
as well as everyone that
helped to make this another
good event for our Post.
As of this writing, we only
need 14 more annual
members to renew their
membership to reach 100%.
If you have not paid your
2015 dues, please do so.
Our quarterly District
meeting is on February 8th
in Denton. If you would like
to attend, we will be leaving
our Post at 9:30am.
The Post is having our
Valentine party on February
13th.
We have 2 ceremonies this
month, Feb 15th is the
sinking of the USS Maine &
Feb 28th is operation Desert
Storm. Both ceremonies will
start at 6:00pm

OTHER POST INFORMATION
It is the intent of Post 2150 to transfer the Melissa Veterans Memorial Fund to the Post
General Fund following a favorable vote at our March, 2015 meeting. This transfer is
proposed because there has been no activity in this account since Melissa Post 324
consolidated with Post 2150 in September, 2008. If you have concerns about this
proposal, please forward your comments to [email protected], or attend the March
meeting which will be held at 6:30 pm on March 9, 2015 at the post.
Monthly Post Meeting
The next monthly Post meeting will be held Monday Feb 9th at 6:30 PM.
Following the meeting, members may purchase a hamburger and fries for $3.00.
Laptops Available for Use
The post recently had several laptop computers donated for the use of our members. These laptops are
setup to access our high speed Wi-Fi, and have other popular software programs on them. If you’re in
the post and would like to use one, just ask one of the bartenders
Community Service Reports
If you have information about anything our members have done for the community, please send to Lee
Francis as soon as possible. We need to get the reports in for our Program Participation. Please send
reports to: [email protected] or contact Lee at 459-667-8729.
Saving Coupons For Veterans Families
We have been asked to save coupons from our newspaper inserts etc. to be distributed to families of
current and former veterans. It would help if you can cut them out, but if not just bring in the entire
insert.
Just bring them in and give them to the person working the cantina. Please contact Tobi Viles for
additional information.
