NOV 6 With cold season right around the bend, the whole EPC is enjoined to support the celebration of the Bicentenary of Don Bosco’s birth by sporting limited edition hoodies. NOV 7 Salesian Prenovices together with the FIN Vocation Promoter and an alumnus of DBTarlac, Fr. Reggie Porlucas, SDB, talks to the graduating students about answering God's call and living the religious life. The vocation talk was followed by a fun-filled football game of the Salesians, Salesian Educators, Salesian Seminarians against the high school varsity. NOV 8 Fr. Edwin Soliva, SDB entertains parents and guardians with his talk about the latest trends in parenting. Lateron, pertinent announcements by the Parents Council and Principal where communicated before report cards were released. Jay encourages everyone to give God a chance to give meaning to their lives in today's EPC Mass. NOV 10 Thanks to the generous hearts of some alumni and Salesian Cooperators and ADMA members, the Mary Help of Christians Chapel will get its muchneeded renovation and repairs. Nov 11 11-11 This is the day when we remember the first set of Missionaries sent by Don Bosco. It was the group of then Fr. John Cagliero who were sent to Patagonia in South America. He was later ordained a Bishop in that same place. It laid the foundation of the Salesian Missions – present in 7 continents and almost all countries. NOV 12 Bosconian graders listened activiely as members of the Pastoral Team engages them with different talks and activities that targets their growth not just emotionally but moreso spiritually. Eson Munar and Jeffrey Mangubat, of the grade school and high school team makes an ocular visit to the Monasteryo ng Tarlac to see if it can accommodate future activities. NOV 13 7th Graders together with their subject teachers and advisers toured around the province of Tarlac to see the cultural and historical grandeur it has to offer. NOV 13 7th Graders went to the Our Lady of Peace Seminary for their recollection on Self-Awareness aptly having the theme of, “My True Self.” The said recollection was facilitated by the Pastoral team and supported by the respective advisers of each class. NOV 15-16 8th Graders had an overnight camping the Tarlac Eco Park for their Parent-Son encounter with the theme of, “Initiation Camp.” The said recollection was facilitated by the Pastoral team and supported by the respective advisers of each class. NOV 17 In preparation for the upcoming celebration of the Bicentenary of St. John Bosco's birth, Salesian Studies Facilitators were trained and tasked to "Boscofy" the respective Salesian Families they belong to. NOV 17 LaMPs were oriented by the Representatives of the PDRRMC for the upcoming Central Luzon Simulated Earthquake and Fire Drill. Also present were representatives from CDRRMC, BFP, PNP, Phil. Army, Phil. Airforce, Tarlac EMS, and Philippine National Red Cross. DON BOSCO TECHNICAL INSTITUTE – TARLAC CITY NOVEMBER 2014 MISSION: WE ALL HAVE ONE. WHAT’S YOURS? NOV 19 The 3rd Kabataang Alay sa Bayan (KAB) Scouts’ induction ceremony kicked-off with different activities. There were yell preparations, games, and campfire activity, which highlighted the said event. Furthermore, the new KAB Scout members were challenged by Scout Master Gil Siongco II to live up to the ideals to the best of their ability which is the most powerful instrument in the development of young people. NOV 20 Through the help of the pupils, parents, teachers, Salesians, maintenance, and funds gathered from the stage play, this playground was made possible. A playground is important to a growing child for him to develop various skills like physical strength, social skills, imagination and creativity, thinking and problem solving skills, and sense of self, connection and care. During this age, the learning process of a child is reinforced through play wherein he learns to acknowledge success and failure, which is very important to stabilize his emotions. DBTarlac conducted a fire and earthquake drill to review what has been instructed last July. After all, it is always better to be safe rather than being sorry. NOV 21 Bosconians were empowered to handle fire and earthquake through an orientation by a BFP officer as various sectors prepare and plan the upcoming simulation to further ensure the safety of everyone. This seminar deals with the feelings associated with being a child of a migrant as well as their coping mechanism. Volunteers from UGAT, an apostolate for grassroots families that ministers through psychological interventions and family systematic approaches, facilitated the activity. NOV 2223 Congratulations to our UP Sandiwa Pataasandiwa participants for doing their best in the recently concluded contest. Special recognition is given to our winners who won in their respective competition. Out of 7 events, we placed in the top 3 spots in 4 competitions and garnered 3rd place overall. NOV 25 Members of the Office of the Civil Defense observe as DBTarlac simulates a fire and earthquake together with various emergency responders: PNP; BFP; OPFM; Fil-Chi Fire Brigade; 3rd Mech; TOG 3; 522 ECB; TEMS; Phil. NOV 26 Grade 7 students visit various Salesian settings as part of their preparation for the Bicentennary of Don Bosco's birth. In this pilgrimage, they get a first-hand feel of the various works of the Salesians. NOV 26 Fr. Remo Bati, SDB, the first Filipino Salesian along with Bishop Leo Drona, has this to say about our Blessed Mother. speaking of firsts, that is also the first statue of Mary Help of Christians in the country. It was brought to the country by Archbishop Pianni, also a Salesian, in 1922 when he was assigned as the Papal Nuncio to the country.
