PROJECT SELECTION
As a designer we recognize that we must work closely with each client to understand their aesthetic and functional goals. Through this way of
working we are able to develop a purposeful strategy tailored to their vision and are able to translate their unique message through purposeful organized design. While we’d love to take on every project request received, please understand we select a limited number of projects at
a time and select projects that will best compliment our design aesthetic and skill level.
HOURS OF OPERATION
Monday – Friday | No Weekends or Holidays
Note: emails received during the weekend will be responded to on Monday mornings.
COMMUNICATION
The preferred method of communication is via email. To prevent any delays of service, we ask that you routinely check your email as we’ll be
frequently communicating during the design process. Request for contact via phone can be submitted via email at [email protected]
PAYMENT
All payments will be invoiced through paypal in U.S. Dollars (USD). A PayPal account is not required to submit a payment, and major credit
cards are accepted. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required before any work begins. An invoice for the remaining balance will be sent
upon project completion and must be paid-in-full prior to receiving any final design files.
CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
Due to the nature of design work, refunds will not be issued under any circumstances.
TURNAROUND TIME
Once your design request has been submitted, an estimated date for turnaround will be given. These dates are simply estimates, and are
subject to change.
DESIGN QUEUE / For clients waiting in the queue, projected start dates are given based on the number and type of projects ahead in the
line, and may be adjusted according to changes or delays with those projects.
DESIGN PROCESS / Once a project begins, it can take anywhere from a couple of weeks to several months to complete, depending on the
scope of the project, revision requests, timeliness of communication, and other factors.
PROOFING & REVISIONS
Throughout the design process, you'll be asked to give feedback on design drafts presented to you, and approve each element of your
design before it is finalized. If you'd like to change something you previously approved, you're welcome to request a revision. Design
packages come with a specified number of revision allotments, which are valid prior to receipt of final design files. All further revisions will be
charged a studio rate of $20 per hour.
COPYRIGHT
All designs and components - including, but not limited to sketches, design development, graphics, layouts, and final designs - are protected
under copyright and remain the property of Kamikka McCoy.
DESIGN FILES & USAGE
When your project has been completed and all remaining payments have been made, you'll be sent any flattened digital files (as per your
package).
PRIVACY & PERMISSIONS
Correspondence between you and Kamikka McCoy is confidential and may not be shared or forwarded to others without expressed written
consent. Sketches and other design development details may not be used or shared with outside parties at all, and must remain strictly
confidential. Similarly, your personal information will never be shared in any way with outside parties without your written consent.
For marketing and promotional purposes including, but not limited to, use within our design portfolio, we reserve the right to share the
following project / client information only:
• Samples of work created for your project and brief description
• Links to your blog, website, or other project featuring the design
PRICES
We reserve the right to change prices at any time, including hourly fees. Any prices quoted to you will be valid for a maximum period of 30
days, or until your deposit has been submitted. After 30 days, if no deposit has been submitted, a new project quote will be required as any
updated prices will be in effect.
FUTURE DESIGN UPDATES
If you'd like to update your design at some point after our work together is complete, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us. We’ll be
happy to discuss any changes, whether big or small. If you'd like us to store your files indefinitely in case of future updates or revisions, a
small storage fee may be applied.
