Congregation Shaare Tikvah Bulletin SERVING FAMILIES IN SOUTHERN MARYLAND February 2015 Shevat/Adar 5775 PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE February will be a busy month for our little shul; we have an event every weekend. The first event comes on February 1st, the Men’s Club World Wide Wrap participation. The second event comes in the form of Friday night services on February 6 at 8PM. No dinner this month, that’s reserved for Men’s Club Shabbat next month. Valentine’s Day is the Seaboard Region’s Blue Yarmulke Man of the Year. This year we are thankful for the efforts and the support we received from Joe Halikman. Joe was instrumental in making our property presentable to prospective buyers. The following weekend we will have the Men’s Club and Sisterhood square off in our annual Baffle Bowl and Larry promises many baffling questions. Howie is ready to cook us all another delectable dinner. March 4th is Purim services at 7PM. And March 13th and 14th is Men’s Club Shabbat. The program will feature three expert speakers: Dr. Ifeyinwa Stitt , an obstetrician-gynecologist from Anne Arundel Medical Center Heather Mikesell, a genetic counselor Katya Levin, an ovarian cancer survivor, author and patient advisor The program is sponsored by Myriad Genetics and is open to the public.
