Our students need parents and other caring adults, besides teachers, involved in their learning, not just in elementary and middle schools. Your involvement is vital to our high school students. Join us to become an important member of our learning community! Some possibilities include: Working at the circulation desk in the LMC to check out books Helping with our free library Serving as an authentic audience for student presentations such as the Capstone projects Sharing information about your career, job training, or college attended Presenting an After School Special on a topic of student interest Seeking book donations in memory or honor of a student’s birthday, teacher, or family member Volunteering at special events such as the annual book fair or After School Specials Tutoring students who need extra help in a particular subject Mentoring students who struggle in their quest to walk the steps at graduation Working on a committee to help students secure a job shadowing experience Whatever time you have to offer and whatever way you would like to be involved, we know that people like you make a difference! Please give our invitation to be involved serious consideration. If you email us, we can send you a link to complete a Parent/Community Volunteer Form online. Or, you can complete the form on the back of this letter and return it to us. Once you do, we’ll add your contact information to our volunteer database for all teachers to access. You do NOT need a security clearance unless your volunteer experience would place you in a situation where you would be alone with a student. If you have any questions, please call either of us or stop by the LMC. We look forward to your involvement and know that our students and staff will reap many benefits and appreciate your gifts of time and talents!
