Instructions for the 2015 WVIZ/PBS Auction
Volunteer Form with Adobe Acrobat Reader
1. You have opened the Auction Volunteer form in Adobe Acrobat Reader.
2. Check to make sure that the ‘Highlight Existing Fields’ button in the upper
right hand corner of the form is clicked. If it is not clicked, please click on
this button as it will activate the form for you to fill out in Adobe Acrobat
Reader.
3. Starting in Section 1, begin to complete the form in the blue boxes. You
can use the “Tab” key to move from box to box. In Section 2, tell us the
positions you wish to volunteer for. Finally, in Section 3, let us know your
availability! Indicate if you would like to volunteer for double, triple, split,
or all shifts you list; and let us know if you are willing to volunteer during
Pre-Auction, Auction and Post-Auction.
4. Once you have filled out your form, you must then “Sign” the form before
sending us your completed form. To do so, follow these instructions:
a. In the upper right hand corner, click the button that says “Sign” (this
is also located above “Highlight Existing Fields”). Clicking this button
will open a panel on the right side of the window.
b. From this panel, click on “Place Signature,” a window will pop up
asking for you to type your name, after you have done so click
“Accept,” located in the bottom right corner of that pop-up window.
c. After you click accept, position your mouse above “Volunteer
Positions” in the upper left hand corner of the form, then click the
left button of your mouse. After you have clicked, you will see your
name appear.
d. Once you have placed your name, then click on the “Signed. Proceed
to Send” button, located in the panel on the right hand side, then
click “Save a Copy.”
e. Once you have saved your copy of the form to your computer, you
are then ready to email your form to Siomara Marquetti, Volunteer
Coordinator at [email protected].

Table Captain/Assistant:
(For experienced Auction
volunteers) Organizes tables,
assists auctioneers and
organizes incoming bids.
Table Loader: Pulls items
from warehouse, checks
paperwork and moves items
into the studio. Must be able
to lift 20 pounds.
Bid Taker: Answers the
phone, takes bids.
Board Writer: Writes
auction item names on the
whiteboards. Must print well.
Bid Runner: Carries bids
from the phone area to the
tables.
Board Marker: Writes
incoming bids on the Auction
item whiteboard. Must be
at least 5′7″ and must print
well. Limited spots available.
E-Board Marker: Updates
the Auction website by
entering incoming bids onto
a laptop computer.
BEHIND THE SCENES
Data Entry: Enters donor/
buyer/item info. Database
experience preferred. Two
training pre-auction shifts
required.
Warehouse Helper:
Performs various positions,
such as copy writing,
stocking items, filing, etc.
E-Board Writer: (For
experienced Auction
volunteers) Creates the
Auction item boards for
the website by entering
information onto a laptop
computer.
